So i rise early to greet the darkness around 5. I pack everything including the roe bags i tied the night before. About a dozen of 3 colours in micro size. I retied bigger brown roe bags i already had from sunday which were way too big. I decided to get there early so i can let my dog off the leash and frolic in the darkness like a posessed demon. On the way there i notice my HICAS (4 wheel steering) light come on and it started to flicker like the candlelight within a jack o' lantern. I noticed resistance in my power steering as i'm hugging the curves like an overjoyed kid. Soon the ABS light joins the party and in orchastrated symphony flickers to the beat of the other light. Something is just not right. hmmmm. I get to the Tims order the usual XL TT and everything bagel. The service was quite delightful as if they're overdosing on prozac in the back. This is highly unusual since it's about 5:30 and the workers usually hate the world and everything in it. I get my bagel before the funky but chunky chick who ordered before me. As i chewed the lightly crisp bagel and shared some with my dog i began to ponder how unlikely this morning is. Proper bagel, prompt serivce, good ratio on the coffee, car acting up. Maybe i'm still dreaming or snoozing in bed. I finish contemplating and with new found thirst for steelhead i get in the car and turn the key. A few clicking noises and my battery is dead. I call CAA, half hour later they boost me and battery check which came around 10-11 Volts, alternator boosts it up to 14. They offer to call me towing which i refuse. It's not too far from home. In total suspense and absoutly no lights i make it home just in time for work. A sense of river defeat overwhelmed me as if i'm not good enough to be there tempting the fish with my offerings. I can deal with the occasional skunking but not even a chance puts my soul to sleep. So how's your day starting?

LOL, the smallest ones are always the cutest. Here's one from cottaging and chasing minnows with a butterfly net and drinking cosmo's. it's about an inch long

Gotta love the bucket. It helps u share videos too. -
Wat difference does a backround make?? I get tired of not seeing enough reports of fish from people that never fish. You can't please them all. Keep the reports coming, Fishfinder.

LOLLing, based on a true story.

Jangles, we are truly not worthy. Thanx for the tips. I was debating using a piker float and balancing that just to get it going in the flow. Weather pending if the slush clears up, since cold winds don't give the water a chance to warm up. Let's hook up soon times.

There are two kinds of slush. The good one, 7-11 flavourful refreshment on a hot and sunny day. And the other one. This morning was pretty cold, but my hopes were high for good visibility. I knew something was wack when i waded across the river and it froze immediately. I waited patiently for the sunrise sipping my TT XL Horny Timmies and puffed a Marlboro cloud. Before sunrise i started chucking fresh roe bags. I soon discovered that the slush would prevent any penetration and obstruct my presentation. The fish were shocked with the drastic weather changed and hugged bottom. Phoned in to get a updated weather report and was greatly dissapointed to learn that it wouldn't go above Zero degrees. I retreated almost immediately. Frozen guides, ice build up on the line and rock hard roe bags just won't cut it. Till next time, same steelhead time, same steelhead channel.

Tru say^^ Absolutely wicked pix.

You should add a bowl of pasta to the photo.

Last season one of my first ever ice escapades for perching. My friend snagged a carp and we thought it was a monster pike/perch. I'm uncertain they're willingly to bite in winter.

As a concerned angler I understand the importance of catch and release. However, if u decide to keep a fish is it beneficial to use a stringer??? I read that as the fish stresses it releases toxins that ruin the texture of the meat. On occasion i keep trout, I gut and clean them almost immediately to wash the blood residue in the spine. What's the best way to preserve fresh fish? I've been wondering and pondering this for a while now. Muchly appreciated, SHoMPZ

Hooked up with Fishfinder for the first time to share some drifts. We were hoping for a lil more clarity to work with but, such is life. "You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you get what you need"-some song which spills wisdom like a faucet. Anywhoz we kept practicing our casts all morning with no takers on massive dime, nickel and quarter size bags. Even brown roe wasn't getting a sniff. Unusual moment took place when some old skooler caught a bow and mentioned that he released it. When wading across the river we stumbled on his stringer with the specimen still attached. Stringer release?!?!? Perhaps. Stomach acid release?!?!?! Undoubtably. Delusional?? Most definetly. Nice weather for mid week fishing, seen 2 fish landed. Overall a semi splendid day. Here's the documentation Workstation and Fruits from our efforts

Hey Peeps, I always squint and try to make out the little images. They're most often our nicest pics of quality size fish. So let's see em

Thanx for the replies guys. I learned that EVERYTHING is expensive for this car. Rear wheel can be fun and scary but most of the time you have to watch ur corners and go pathetically slow. Spinnin Jay- old skool 93 Infiniti J30t
