I read some by Gord Deval. I really enjoy Paul Quarrington's style and how it totally captures the true essence. I would seriously recommend his books in the library there's about 4.

Great story. I worked on Sat and it was ridicolous how clear the water on sunday was, i retreated for breakfast at Mcd's and some woman gave me a cupon for free food. Score!!!

Tough conditions is probably the main culprit in this weekender's lack of steelhead reprots. Maybe it was the sudden weather change that acted like a shock. I was out on sunday bloody sunday, and put in a couple hrs of hopeless drifting. Too low and Too clear.

Or a circus full of midgets. errrr....i mean lil people. Those are seriously monsterous. Thanx for sharing

i'll see ur midget bass and raise you a bass fry. We made cosmo's at a friends cottage, played cards and i was catching minnows using a butterfly net. Together with the minnows this bass was so aggressive it attacked and nipped all the other less worthy fish. I have another shot of this fry beside a cigg filter, it's incredibly small

Crazy Action, Amazing Results. Keep up the wicked work. YOu prolly spooked the other fish in the pool when you caught that one. Next time take measurements of the length and girth and u can apply it to the weight formula.

pinners take really good care of their pins, so it's not obvious you're buying second hand. Buy better first time around. I recommend Raven Vectra SST, the rod is more important IMO.

Good thinking. It makes oodles of sense if the fish being caught was a highly prized and/or trophy fish. You can't just let the rod swim, you don't fish stealhead with crappy gear. Most guys spend tons of money on their setup and it would be negligent to nothing or very little. You made the right decision in the nick of time. Keep on keeping on and being quick on ur feet. These threads are a great learning tool, keep them coming.

Super day on the water with incredible weather. Guides froze every other cast till the sun came out to play. After trying this one spot a dozen times, i added an ab splitshot and got a hit instantly. Fished first light till noon. Sunny and clear conditions made for fussy fishing. 25" 18" female
