  1. Ive been using Waders for as long as i can remember, i put a tonne of rod hours on the rivers durring the fall/winter /spring months and i was a commercial baitfish harvester for 4 years doing nothing but tromping through creeks and rivers with the waders on. I've owned them all, neopreme, breathable stockingfoot, and boot built right in! definately stick with the stocking foor style and get yourself a decent pair of boots! the boots will last you a long time but make sure they fit you well. should be room for at least one extra pair of socks on for the colder water temps! the problem with the ones where the boots are already attatched is that they ALWAYS start leaking right at the boot! ive owened the hodgman waders, redball waders and Bare! the Bare waders ive had 4 good seasons out of them and wouldnt think twice about getting another pair! the neopreme's are nice when the temperatures are cold. the hodgman and the redballs are only good for a single season the way we fish. 3 of my friends keep bying the redballs/hodgemen waders and within a year there leaking on them. and these guys dont do half the fishing that I do. Best darn waders I can suggest that will definately get your money's worth is the Simms!!!! you dont need to get any of the guide series waders, but Bass pro sells there plain style for $199 and worth every penny for there comfort adn durability! i got 5 great years out of mine, and they were on the river/ going through bush for close to 200 days a year! Spend the litle bit extra if you can! you'll be happy you did, cause it'l save you $$$ in the long run! hope this helps!
  2. no.. i havent done the latest software updates.. didnt know there was one since the graph's only afew months old. yep.. i tried every manual setting i could, turned the boat off, engine out.. just frustrating when it works PERFECT in 70fow... too bad im fishing my lakers in 100fow. lol now the question now is... with the unit being wso new.. would the transducer still be under warranty? or just the unit itself?
  3. we have a brand new 50 merc on our 16' legend... top speed when its glass calm out there is only 28mph. good enough to get out there and back but we cant get any more speed with it! 4 strokes definately dont have the power the 2 strokes do!
  4. Thanks! i'll give that a go! i got ahold of Lowrance yesterday after waiting on hold for an hour and a half just to be told that basically i was crazy! lol The lady on the other end told me to go into 10 fow and try it there! i had already expalined it works fine in anything shallower than 75fow but from there on out it doesnt work right. firgured id go out this morning to a different section of the lake and try turning everything else off and only have the graph running by itself. Nope.. still not working right. it marked better than what it did out in the other section but still poorly. you can see that at times it wants to go, but its still choppy. this is what bootom should look like I checked the tranducer, checked the power, checked all conections and as many setting that i know of. i'll write an email today to this Linda colt! Thanks!
  5. We put a small dent in out brand new Legend boat, nothing big but it was still a dent none the less, because its a welded hull, when the insurance people came and had a look at it they ended up writing the whole thing off! because it was a new boat and the dent even as small as it may have seemed turns out it compromised the lifetime warrenty of the hull! So we got a new boat out of the deal! they said it was way easier just to write the boat off even though it didnt leak one single drop then to spent the money ripping up the floor in order to fix it! unbelievable! Maybe you should have your insurance adjuster come and have a look at the situation!
  6. we just purchased this unit this past spring. Absolutly LOVE it! wish we had the bigger screen but sure aint complaining regardless. Problem is that I have no trouble with this unit anywhere else except one certain area where for the life of me i cant get a solid lock on bottom. It seems to come in at im going to say 10-15% which means im not marking any fish either. it seems to mark fine in shallower depths, and even marks fine in the other section of the lake where it is deeper than what im fishing in now. ive checked everything i can think of, ping speed, sensitivity, tried all zoom in and range features to see if anything would make a difference but it hasnt. ive been trying to get jerk of customer service but phones been busy all day.. go figure! anyone here have any clue?

  10. Sorry to hear about your loss... loosing a pet is like loosing a family member. my condolences
  11. That is NOT a good way to start the fishing season! Sorry to hear that! im not sure if this helps or not for future refference but i know when I used to rent an apartment i looked into house contents insurrance... it turned out that i got 10% off my auto insurance if i got the home insurance. the home insurance was pretty cheap already but with the 10% off i think my monthly payments where only within $5 of what i was paying before. worth looking into anyways! hope you find your motor!
  12. was that the tourney held over in innisfil this past weekend? always heard its a real blast for the kids!
  13. Emerald shiner fore sure!
  14. i found that with my 12'er it was so much easier to load it int he back of the pickup instead of dealing with the trailer. with the tailgate down i could load and unload the boat myself and could virtually drive anywhere. be sure that you put a red flag on the bow of the boat though, dont wanna have a bow of a boat sticking through some tailgaters windshield! lol
  15. Great job Rob! sounds like it was a perfect way to start any morning!
