  1. That's a really nice painting!
  2. Geez, I get too busy with work etc. and don't sign on very often and I come back to see this? Who's been stirring it up? Now the ax-man (Spiel) cometh... Mike
  3. So sorry, Wayne. Best to you and your family. Mike
  4. Awesome report! I'm not surprised you are getting so many PMs about it! Mike
  5. I have some, never had a problem like you describe. Mike
  6. Cliff, Nice to see a report, and extra kudos to your daughter for doing something for other kids who could use the help. Mike
  7. THat's the way it's supposed to be, right? Worth it all to see a smile like that. Mike
  8. Great report Cliff. What a heartbreaker about the muskie lost at the boat; but it makes for an even better fishing story... Mike
  9. Good question, I've wondered the same. But at least some plastics break down; a metal or wood lure never will! I don't use Gulp lures much but I believe they are supposed to completely dissolve in water. Mike
  10. Sounds like a nice little lake to spend some time. Can't think of anything that beats topwater bass action... Mike
  11. My in-laws own a pontoon boat and we've fished off it. Definitely a comfortable way to travel around the lake. Very stable platform too for someone with mobility problems or if there is a group. Haven't tried it but it would probably be good for a bunch of kids too. The downside for fishing is that you can't get as close to shore, rocks, etc. as you could in a tinny and you won't exactly be able to roar around the lake looking for spots. A pontoon boat wouldn't be my first choice but it's a solid option if you need a boat for multiple purposes. My two cents, Mike
  12. Wooooooow! Amazing fish, congratulations on the catch (and release) of a lifetime... Mike
  13. And it looks like spinning gear in the background of that teaser photo??? Mike
  14. Good luck, I haven't fished it myself but I'm pretty sure you'll find lots on Simcoe if you do a search. I do remember that one of the complaints is that there are fewer and fewer shore access spots on Simcoe because of resident complaints. Mike
