  1. Great report! Those skinny trout sure look odd. Awsome part of the continent-I hope to get there one day. Thanks for sharing.
  2. Yes they did the right thing. This cat obviously had no fear of people as it was "resting" in an urban area. Had they not shot the cat and somebody was injured or killed these same officials would have to put up with the wrath of the citizens while also living with guilt of playing a part in allowing this animal the chance to harm someone. Unfortunate for the cougar but I believe the 50% against the shooting would sing a different tune if someone got hurt.
  3. Good to see the CO's out and causing these kind of people some financial pain; my first thought was a longer suspension of his licence would have been nice but from the sounds of what he was doing he'd likely fish without a licence anyway.
  4. Hi All; After "lurking" for a long time I've finally registered to be a member of this fine community. I'm fortunate enough to live in an area with good fishing opportunites (Quinte) however my most anticipated fishing time is a yearly week long trip to Northern Ontario with good friends-just accross the bay from where "Terry" goes in Shining Tree. Catching fish is not as important as it once was; enjoying the pursuit and all aspects of it are now much more important. My lurking in the past has been to enjoy the successes of other members through their stories and pictures; who among us doesn't enjoy the exploits of Moosebunk,Solopaddler and many others. Soon I expect I'll have my own first report up, not as spectacular as others but hopefully enjoyable. My goal will be to give back to the present and future members some of the same interest and enjoyment that you have given me.
