  1.

I may not be very metric literate but isn't minus forty the same on both scales so they actually would track pretty close down there.

    -40C=-40F

    -45C=-49F

    -50C=-58F

    -55C= -67F

    -60C= -76F

FYI, we had our first extreme cold weather warning of the winter this morning.

They are only issued when the temp/windchill drops below -50C. B|

  2. the games at hand, is becoming a bit ridiculous. 6 games on Boston? they are 7% of the season behind them lol.

Expect more hockey than you can handle for the second half holy crepe its gonna be fast and furious. That's when we are really going to see the boys turn to men.

Luckily youth helps when playing a tight schedule.

But Boston hasn't had their bye week yet.

  3. I really don't understand the hate for the Leafs, I was at a family dinner during the Centennial classic and when Matthews scored the GWG I cheered, the woman's uncle threw his fork down and started swearing and continuing on about how Toronto doesn't deserve a team (he's a buffalo fan and at the time of that game buffalo had lost 7 of the last 8) all I could do was laugh haha

  4. There are plenty of apps on your phone that will allow you to create a nice video. You can splice clips together, add transitions, add music, and add captions. The phone apps are usually pretty basic, but they do work and you can upload directly to YouTube. Doing all that on a phone can be tedious and isn't for everyone.

There are a handful of free video editing programs you can download and use on your PC or Mac. If you have a PC that isn't running Windows10, I recommend the free version of Windows Movie Maker. It works well, but is only available for pre-W10 operating systems.

You can also buy entry level stuff for around $60, or more advanced programs for $$$$. I use Wondershare Filmora on my PC. It cost about $70 and I really like it. It's fairly easy to use and works fine. I don't use it to it's potential, but I'm happy with it.

One important thing to know .... it can take a LONG time to edit and build a nice finished product, depending on how much post-production you want to do. For beginners, it's not very intuitive and there will be a learning curve. Also, video editing can really tax your system. Lots of memory, a fast processor, and a bunch of patience is definitely needed.

Actually this version of Windows Live Essentials 2012 runs fine on Win 10, even though it isn't listed.

I have it installed on my machine for quick little movie edits.

I have Adobe Premier for detailed and heavy editing.

Very costly and very steep learning curve similar to Photoshop but fer makin' moovees!!! ;)

  5. How much snow? -45 I can deal with (lived in Edmonton for a year) a 2k hike in 3 feet of snow, I can not.

We need more snow. Only 2"-3" on the lakes and 4"-5" in the bush.

Can't sled up to my cabin from the lake at this time because there isn't enough snow.

If there still isn't enough by early February I'm going to have to start hauling snow off the lake to have a good enough trail to haul my building materials in.

  6. It sat in the truck for the ride home Dave, plus all the bars lit up. Thanks for the info though. I,ll remember that.

    Same thing happens with mine.

Once in the house and I put on the charger after they warm up they start charging.
