Wayne it was a day that I had promised a guy I work with......... but without a doubt...you can come with me any time you want.......
-
the day started real early they were calling for low winds and no rain so we decided G bay would be our lake instead of the Kawarthas I used the free ramp in Midland and off we went trolled for hours..stop a couple of times to tube for bass, but muskie was the fish of choice today...........the fish of how many casts.... we didn't catch any fish..didn't see any fish but it was a great day on the water....................

well he should follow the law...but towns are starting to make laws that they have no right to put into place...I would think waterways are Canadian government jurisdiction not local and so they laws would be meaningless....IMHO but what do I know.......
-
well they charged me 100 bucks for an hours work..and yes for work I didn't want...stupid me I didn't take a copy of the work I requested and when I returned they had a computer generated bill/ work order..which did not have what I requested......stupid me... I removed the wires to the ABS and that did seem to give me maybe 20/30 % more back braking..but still not enough.. is there a way they test to see if the brake fluid pressure is enough to work the back shoes enough.. oh and thanks for the help everyone it sure helps me figure this out
-
so is the 40 bucks to fish or to be in the area..if people are walking the river drinking their timmies are they ok but if you fish you pay.........Bull
-
I remember that day and thinking of it still puts a lump in my throat........ it's a parents worst nightmare.... my thoughts are with you and your family
-
well I saw them driving down the road on the back of a truck in full view a dead pumpkin ....that's right a dead pumpkin now not just any pumpkin but I think it was a world record pumpkin..I mean big and there it was dead and out on display for everyone to see.........god couldn't they cover it I mean don't all gods creations deserve the same loving care and respect.......... yeah.............if they want to display their pumpkins or moose ........I say go for it....we are gatherers and hunters by nature and all men like to let everyone know they have scored.........

good god man that is a lot of reports. and photos....it almost feels like I was there........ very cool landing on a little lake with no one else around and fishing
-
my wife's family has property right at the ferry nice area and good fishing at times good report
-
LOL......it had better have it fixed by then....LOL
-
simple shoe adjustment is not the problem.....this problem has been going on for some time and I had a complete brake job and it didn't solve the problem.. without a doubt my front brakes are wearing and my back brakes are rusting a bit from lack of use but they are the result of the problem not the cause....IMHO
-
thanks Wild I have not done any major work on brakes myself in years and I know nothing about ABS but I have seen, way back when, where the front brakes work the back brake don't change the master cylinder and all is well, but no one seems to say anything about the master cylinder...thought maybe they don't break down any more....
-
pads ....worn..you can see my rims are black from on the front form the pads working so hard..... I was going to try the emer brake but I never use it and it would be nasty if it sticks on and wouldn't be able to release it might try it on the weekend when I have time to mess around if it locks on
-
ok I did plug the 2 wire plug off the abs...I will test tomorrow it doesn't only happen when it is wet out ...sand or grave, ice will do it too and I do believe it does it all the time but is way more noticeable when wet because the tires can't bit into the road as well when the road is wet.......... and thanks for all the help guys, I just might get this figured out before I loose all my hair...LOL
-
Raf, that could explain it dannyboy, to tell the true I don't know, I will see if something tells me which I have Bernie drum brakes 2 wheel drive v6 it just says abs I don't know will check
-
thanks for the offer ecmilley, I will keep it in mind... bly, thanks..but it does the same thing if there a little stones or sand on the pavement at intersections the front locks up.... on dirt roads if I slam the brakes you can see where the front tires dig in front being locked up and the back shows no signs of stopping anything that can make less contact with the road makes them not stop me and it's only the front brakes....

it's a 2000 dodge dakota

I have been having trouble with my brakes the back brake... it seems only the front brakes are working and when the roads are wet and slippery they lock up and slide, the back brakesdo nothing.. ..I went to a local garage and told them and said it might be abs or master cylinder….. they replace all brakes and some wheel cylinders and more…nothing with the abs or master cylinder and tell me it’s fine and seemed that way..about 3 weeks later it rains and the same thing happens front wheels lock up and slides, back brakes do nothing…I take it back and say please fix it under warranty…..they check and tell me everything they did is working fine if the keep looking it will be my cost …..I told them where to go so I wait till the end of the summer to find another place to fix it I talk to a Midas tell them my story…tell them don’t check the brakes..check abs and master cylinder……yup no problem… I take a day off work drop it off they write down what I want And hour and a half later they call me…I need work on my front brakes back brakes are fine but could use service,,,(whatever that means) abs is fine no problems show on the puter…….oh and my wheel bearings are loose… I Say but the back brakes don’t work..they don’t stop me….. So I say forget it don’t do any work They charge me for an inspection I didn’t want and ask not to do…… Over a 100 bucks…… And they rewrote the work order on computer and it stated that I asked to check why front brakes were locking up……what a rip off IMO Midas Bradford will never see me again………….. Now for the question Does anyone who is a mechanic know what the problem might be …I need my truck working but can’t afford to keep pumping out money that doesn’t fix the problem
