Also possible that the boat washed off someone's shoreline with all the rain and wind just recently, and drifted downstream. Happens every year.

The Canajun answer to Commander Tom was Uncle Bobby.
Every once in a while we used to get the signal for Capt. Kangaroo and Mr Greenjeans.

Because the problem is complicated by MS affecting the muscles in your back, you really do need to see the doctor. If possible, see if you can get a referral for a specialist in Rehab Medicine.
Long before viable surgical treatments were available for my conditions, I relied on an extensive rehab program and hospitalization, just to stabilize the back. That kept me going for 15 years until they could develop a surgical technique. I've had 2 surgeries, since, to repair and delay continued spinal cord deterioration. Honest truth is that with the more serious spinal problems, there are no cures, just repairs and controls. There are limitations

Sciatica is a fairly common symptom of lower back pain. Personally, I've gotten more relief by combining physio and chiro treatments. No it does not subside quickly. Used to take 3-6 weeks to feel semi- normal. Extreme compression on the nerves can require hospitalization
Also depends on the root cause behind the sciatica. Is it a compressed disc, DDD,fragmentation, a fracture, a form of stenosis? You may need to see an orthopedic surgeon or neurologist. As long as that root cause persists, the sciatica, and other symptoms, keeps coming back, and get progressively worse.
Treatment has come a long way since Ham Hall's text "The Back Doctor", but his book is still a good manual for back care for yourself.

As ever, I hope for the best possible outcome for you and your Mrs.

Always have been a bluesrock fan, starting when the British dicovered the blues in the sixties and reinvented it with the likes of Eric Clapton, Cream , John Mayall , the original Fleetwood Mac with Peter Green, Rory Gallagher, Savoy Brown, even Hendrix made it big over the other side of the pond before becoming popular over here, there was a few N.A. guys with a yen to play blues, Mike Bloomfield, Johnny Winter, ZZ Top, later SRV but really only one woman ever really stood tall in this genre , Janis Joplin, recently discovered this gal and have the DVD this came from, every time I watch it I have to think " was Janis really ever this good ? " definitely Janis was never this hot
give me a good blues performance, especially one with a great guitar solo in the middle over anything
She's good!
But I'm still in love with Janice. The thing is it wasn't just her sound, the holding company just fit her like hand in glove.

I still like this one with a master called Earl Scruggs. Lots of folks don't know that Stave Martin is a proficient banjo player...and listen to guys like Albert Lee (long hair with the red guitar) and guys like Jerry Douglas who can play the dobro like no one else can.

That would be some honour to play beside Earl Scruggs. We used to listen to a lot of Flatt and Scruggs, Stringbean, Roscoe Holcomb, Don Messer.
We just liked folk music more. Still don't care for country.
We also watched a lot of HeeHaw.

Don't know if any of you related to Yorkville, the Riverboat, concerts at the Masonic Temple, the old Mariposa festival.
Here's a listen.

Congrats on the new hut. The link dosen't show which one it is, but anyone that helps you get out is a good one.
Tracker ( Don )
Supposed to be the PE-2 magnum? Thing is as big as my bed. Too big to even open up in the living room. Sure will make things a lot more comfortable on the ice.
I'll still keep the backpack hut for days when I'm on my own, and it's not too windy.

This fall has been a continuation of a series of nightmares that have gone on for 2 year and some. The wife and daughter have serious health problems, and the relationship with the son has been anything but easy. With one piece of bad news after another, and my wife's condition getting progressively worse, I figgered Christmas was going to be another horrible experience.
This morning the son asked me to run him to the tackle shop ( police pulled the plates on his rust bucket) Nothing new in browsing there. I can do that every week.
Any how my son tells me it's time for something better than the backpack, so I'm getting a new ice hut for an early Christmas present. Of course it also means that he will have to get out with me every weekend.

It certainly is more than my broken body can handle by myself. He didn't have to, and he should not have, but I am still a little off guard, and certainly as tickled as a school boy with a new toy. Like the Grinch, I'm feeling "all tingly inside", and I may just have sprung a leak.

This my personal Favorite for many reasons.
Thanks for the misty moment. The son took me out this morning for a wee shocker.

We got this Bieber Kid taking the teen music world by storm today from Stratford ,Ontario
This guy, also from Stratford had more vocal talent in his left foot that Bieber will ever have, few other Canadian boys in what was acclaimed as one of the best bands ever
Late 60's to early 70's saw some wicked Canadian talent flooding the airwaves. We've heard from Neil, the Guess Who, the Band in this session. How about...

Or the Doors.
Every road trip the cousin and I made was with the 8 track blast out their Greatest Hits over and over again.
That and a lot of "Locomotive breath"

Only the ultimate "Grind" tune of all time.

I like the groups that led to Zeppelin, better than Zep itself.

I do, another great tune.
Who remembers this, previously known as CTA?
Now this is jamming! I think?
The Transit Authority

I actually have that vinyl Bruce, Jeff is/was pretty slick.
Just made a short road trip and heard this on the radio, more Canadian Rock.....
Canned Wheat......... Great album.
I'm starting to regret having given all my vinyl away last year. Had no where left to store 12 milk crates full in the apartment.

Useless video, just listen....
Decade is at least one album (CD) everyone should own.
Rock on Neil!
Music to "trip" on, back in the day.

LEt me guess. He's hoping for a life sized replica under the tree.

Only the French could take a simple measure and turn it into a ruddy great wad of bureaucratic bumpf that has to be continually defined and redesigned, thereby keeping several hundred idle minds on the public payroll.
On top of it all, the French still can't shoot straight

Go to google
type in "French military victories"
hit "I feel lucky"
You will get a google response that says...
"Do you mean French military defeats"!
HH
Be nice, France terrified Europe under Bonaparte. Then again he was Corsican/ Italian. Not French at all.

High doses of vitamin d or B-complex are use to counter a muscular deficiency, and could be of some help if the problem is MS related.
