  1. Hey man took me forever to get my first rainbow, and now i still consider 2 or 3 in a morning to be damn good fishing!
  2. Me crazy no way! My friends i think are crazy for wasting away in bed till 10 or 11 every weekend morning, while i'm out enjoying the scenery.
  3. other pics
  4. Well, headed out the door at 8:00am and went to the same spot i hit a few fish the morning before. Gave it a half an hour with nothing so decided to pack up and go for a little drive. After a little hike through the bush we arrived at the spot. fished for an hour and a half with nothing then i caught about 3 or so pound pike. Not two minutes after my buddy hits a 3.5lb rainbow, and about ten minutes after that i hit a nice rainbow gave me a good battle with the 6lb test and lots of logs near by. Packed it in shortly after that. With some fresh rainbow roe from the small female we kept this morning i decided to hit a spot for an hour before dinner, and ended getting another feisty little rainbow.
  5. What did you use to catch them? Peach coloured roe bags.
  6. Decided to give it a go this morning even though the rain was coming down pretty good. Caught two within ten minutes of setting up, and managed one more before i packed it in around 11. THe fish were pretty small but still pretty spunky with many wild leaps in the air. Maybe have to try it again tomorrow.
  7. There only calling for 10-15mm of rain tomorrow for Barrie, and another 10mm sunday.
  8. Should be perfect up here this weekend, the water has gotten awfully clear the past week with these cold nights, And on the plus side i'll most likely be the only one standing in the rain!
  9. Skunk flatfish worked extra slowly in the current.
  10. I think just about everytime i go down to the river i end up picking up some arseholes fishing line I can't even figure out why some people have such a hard time keeping the stuff on their spools! I usually like to have a timmies coffee in the morning too and i don't find it very hard to put the empty cup in my pocket. Anyways just my two cents worth.
  11. The salmon are mostly done on the G-bay trib i fish, however there is still some straglers around and will continue to be a few for a while yet. I'd try for some rainbows instead if i were you.
  12. Typical government cash grab, just wait till other municipalities get the same idea.... I live in angus and mostly don't fish the area too many people for my liking, plus there plenty of better spots on the notty.
  13. From what understand the pink salmon were accidentaly stocked in to lake superior many years ago. They have managed to naturally reproduce and spead into all of the great lakes. Actually saw one of those ugly buggers in the notty last year.
  14. Definatly a lack of baitfish, out there in GB anyway. Every year for the past 5-6 years i have seen the salmon numbers and size drop substantially in the nottawasaga. However on a positive note i have been seeing more rainbows around the past few years, perhaps less competition out there between the two now? Anyways one thing is for certain kill the cormorants!!
  15. Absolutly brutal this summer has been, last friday just when i thought this summer couldn't get any worse it rains all weekend long....
  16. Hey, just wanted to say hello, been lurking for a year or two i guess. I have always enjoyed the reports, so heres a few pics or my own.
