Let's stick with the downriggers

I want to get a cheap downrigger for my new boat and maybe throw it on the tinny. I'm only going to be using it a couple times a year. What do you think my best bet is? I have heard of a lot of success with the minnows. As for me, last time on the ice I had the alive minnows on for a few hours and caught one perch. Decided to switch to live minnows and caught 7 perch and a pike in a half hour. All depends on the lake I think!

I'm glad that I cannot just walk into a store and buy a gun. If we were able to do that I'd be stuck with a lot of useless employees that i'm scared to get rid of!

I may take you up on that if i'm up there! Ya I can get to it from the inside and I do ocaasionally pull it out at a good speed, but usually this boat it for small electric motor only lakes.

Ya but i'm not to concerned about it. I just throw in a little battery and a bilge pump and don't think about it.
