  10. That is very true. I was nowhere in shape to do what I am able to do now when I started(the first thing I said was HOLLY CRAP im way out of shape). It,s took me the three months to really feal comfortable about the way I workout now. I do like to push myself sometimes.Burnouts,but it does take a bit of a toll on the body,but the end result feals so good.
  11. Exactly why I push the wieghts hard now. It,s so much easier to maintian.
  12. I can tell ya from my experice.230 now 178. How,well stress started it,but then I hit the gym for 3 months straight for 2 hrs a day 5-6 days a week.Walking then jogging then up to running the tread and swimming really burned it off. Eating the right foods is a must. Salt intake is one to really watch. Now that I have gotten to were I want,I can easily maintain my wieght.As for the pasta,I have it twice a week. Carbs,but I do burn it off. I eat alot of chicken and turkey and fish. Dont starve yourself Steve,just be moderate in your intake and excersice. Once you get to where you want,just maintianing will work for you. I now hit the gym 3-4 days for 1.5 hrs. I do 200 sits up everyday.It keeps you in shape more then you think.It dosent just work the gut,but does the thighs and calves. Good luck with it.

  18. Dont know about the tater,but I wittness guys here using good eaten shrimp for bait. For perch of all things. I was ready to put the ol smash and grab on them.LOL

  20. Me thinks I just got my book title Misfish cooks up,,,,,,,,,,,, I got off earlly today. Headed to gym,pumped off some steam (getting pretty stresed out these days)and came home refreshed and thought I would try something.Something different.Well not so different,but put a bit of a dinner together that I hope the mrs,s would like, since now she has become the seafood lover. .After all we are doing the do,these days. Here ya go ,and you can do what ya want to it. As always, I start off with the peppers,green and red. Instead of the white onions,I have gone with the challotes. Very nice. Oh and don forget the fresh garlic and please add some chillie peppers.The mrs thought this made the dish. It put just that bit of a bite in the dish. I added in some fresh cubed vine grown tomatoes(is there any other) to the mix. Allowed them to get happy for a half hour then added in some chicken stock.That you allow to simmer for an hour or so.After that you add in a can of cream celery.Allow to simmer for 30 minutes. You want all the flavors to get mixed. Now once that is done,you get your baking dish. I dont have access to fresh blue fish so I get mine from the frozen dept. Good thing ol highliner is hard at work. Place that big ol hunk in the dish,add about five pounds of yer tiger shrimp. Now pour over the sauce,let bake for 40 minutes. Once thats done,remove and do as I do,well ya dont have to, but you get the idea.Im sprinkling some fresh parma on the mix,to add some thickness.The rice is a whole grain. You be amazed at the flavor of this rice. Dinner for two,well four.We ate half,amnd will have therest with who knows.
  21. Also known as Macleans lake? If so.theres a launch where all park. Just follow the trail out to the hut area. STAY away from the huts as the locals get a wee upset. I havent been up there in a few years,but all the years I did,have done well, just STAY away from the huts. It,s a local thing.
