  1. Ni idea about your question but where are the Musky reports on any lake? Have seen none, or maybe i'm blind.
  2. Was browsing the internet and looked to expect to see the same old Real Fishing site and well they updated it. http://www.realfishing.com/ Have yourself a look.
  3. You just love showing off that beauty fish eh GCD.
  4. Great multi-species trip you guys. Your brother knows how to catch the giants eh! Also love those white bass and the sunset pictures, but um...why did you do that rod shot thing I invented lol (joking). Great report and pictures! Thanks for sharing, MTBF
  5. I caught 2 of them last year out of a river system out towards Campbellford. I used a small 1/4 oz Blue Fox silver spinner, try a 1/8oz...smaller hooks might be of a advantage.
  6. Was out at Scugog this afternoon and has a resonable successful day. Fished the morning for perch and caught 2 little guys + a decent size Crappie(first of 09). Had a slice of pizza and came across a Carp fisherman and he offered me a small jar of corn for the carp. So I walked down a nice stretch of shoreline and threw some corn out in the water away from all the other carp they seemed to of been spawning. Where I was all I saw were carp cruising by. Anyway, threw out some corn not more that 10m out and a decent pile maybe 3m out from the shore. Put some corn on my circle hook and threw it into this general area where i had the corn thrown out to. Waited not more than 5 minutes and I began to see bubbles and dirt being kicked up...got excited and bam got a clear strike on my rod, set the hook and the fight was on. The carp scared me a bit as it was heading to the right and down the bank where I had no control over it, but it came back as i kept steady tenshion. After no more than 4 minutes it came to shore. Thinking it was tired out i bended down to grab it and it turned, not once but twice and after a viewer was behind me it snapped my line . Was sad to se but it was a good size Carp, maybe a few inches smaller that my carp the previous weekend but i felt successful. Long story short, ill be there in a week or two to try again for some carp and ill be bringing more corn! Also is a circle hook good enough or is a three prong needed. From what I could see this Carp had the hook right in the upper lip of it's mouth so the hook i was using worked fine..think it was a 2/0 by Mustad. Thanks for reading, MTBF
  7. The Media and Detroit fans thought they had the series once they were up 0-2 in the first two games. But many fans-myself included knew they could come through. The most important thing here is there lower line scoring that came to life and made this thing happen. Some teams want the cup and some teams deserve the cup, Pens deserved to win as they never gave up hope and fought through every period to stay alive. Detroit just plays good, didn't see to much inspiration from them but hey maybe i don't know what to look for. All I know is that Crosby is the youngest captain to raise the Cup for his team and this is a amazing accomplishment, not to mention the maturing that this team still has to go through to become even better. Congratulations to the outstanding victory of winning the Stanley Cup! As for stats-Pittsburgh has not lost in a game 7 in the playoffs, but hey who says stats are always right. Only been watching hockey for a couple of years now and that game has to be my most memorable. MTBF
  8. No Scoty, no need to even speak after that game. Detroit is a excellent team but never judge a series before it's done. Great job by both teams!
  9. PENS WIN
  10. **Gary Bettman** Sucks there lacking coverage down there, glad to be able to see the game here where there isn't even a Canadian Team playing lol. Should be a amazing game tonight!
  11. It's kind of stationary right now up in Kingston. No trailer and I live in a complex so I don't have a way of moving it. And if i did, i would have to find a storage place for it. Going to try to find a trailer for it, already bought some new oar locks and handles for the back of the boat for carrying. Next thing to get would be two dandy wooded oars. O and a new battery for that 30lb Minn Kota trolling motor.
  12. lol, no idea what your talking about. I always spell Port Perry correctly.
  13. Great job man, I entered that contest yesterday for there next draw.
  14. I agree with Black Blade. Good lake but you got to work for your catch. What worked for me was to let the bait sit on bottom and try to not really pay to much attention to it. Guess the bass were coming by and picking it up. Also, don't expect a big Avg bass size there. Maybe it was just us but we only caught bass in the high 1lb range with the biggest being 2.6 i think. Would love to see a big 3 or 4lb bass come out of that lake, good luck and check your PM. MTBF
  15. Nice bass in the Avatar man! Also, good luck out on the river. Check back with us for a photo filled report. Good luck and welcome to OFC! MTBF
  16. Ah Crap, is there another boat launch area with thick weeds for those bass in a few weeks?
  17. Just wondering if the area where my mouse is on this pic if a area where people can fish. Been at the main shores in Port Perry but spotted this area on a map. Any insight or first hand photo's of this general area? Thanks, MTBF
  18. Great job on that Bass! Thanks for sharing, MTBF
  19. wow, great job out there. Looks like they got a outstanding fishery out there. Thanks for sharing, MTBF
  20. Going to be a exciting game 7 in Detroit. As before, i still have not changed my guess on what team will lift the Stanley Cup(Pittsburgh). Detroit is a good team and when ever they get the puck I'm at the edge of my seat. Let the best and most effective team win the Stanley Cup! Let's Go Pens! MTBF
  21. Thanks, I think I also need to save up for a Carp rod, a Ultra Light rod, a few baitcast setups...shall i go on lol.
  22. Not sure if these were the snakes your friend got but this was the kit i got. http://www.bassprofessor.com/elite/originalfishingsnake.php And yes they did work well, and they would of worked better if i had a baitcast combo with tough line as for every fish i caught i missed like 5 fish due to stretch in my light mono. Caught 2 mid2lb'rs at Scugog, a 4.8lb LMB up in Kingston along with a few 2's and 2.5's and even caught my first pike on this snake bait(little 22" pike). They worked very well with a slow jerk pause retrieve on top of the slop/moderate weeds. Hopefully i can draw out the fish again as I know i missed some BIG fish last season. Ah well live and learn. Good luck if you decide to try them.
  23. Here we go, game 6.
  24. Well it's getting to that special day for my zone and for many others, Saturday June 27th when bass opens up. For me, I'm going to try and simplify my bass tackle and think weeds, nothing but moderate to thick weeds for those Largemouth. Barely getting my feet wet last fall and using spinning tackle in the Scugog Slop I managed a few good fish. My favorite and PB on a Jig(a pro's typical 3lb jig largemouth lol) Going to try to put the odds in my favor and catch myself a 5lb largemouth and try to get close to my PB 6lb largemouth. Going to try my best to save up some bucks and get a flippin stick for those Jig's I'm learning to use as well as a few topwater's for the heavy cover. Can't wait to get out there on Scugog and well attempt to catch some nice bass. Where is everybody heading this opener, and what is your general idea for techniques your going to be using this year. My ideas for the bass + a few other baits of course.-> Good luck this year everybody(not that luck is involved in fishing) MTBF
