  1. Poor donkey. I'll take you next time.
  2. Nice fish, I really got to go muskie fishing at some point. Never been.
  3. Yah, I thought it was, but I wasn't sure. Thanks everyone, updated title now.
  4. So a buddy of mine has an uncle who has a couple of ponds on his property which bass got into, probably via birds taking eggs in on their legs, ie, he never stocked it. We usually take my buddy's kids up there because there are alot of largemouth under a pound and it is fun for them and you are guaranteed to catch lots of them everytime you go. We found out yesterday that one of the pods has smallies and largies. The smallmouth seem bigger like they have been in there for a while. We were hitting a few around a pound, and then this hog appeared. The owner had no idea fish of this size were in there and I have a fished it a few times and never seen anything this size before. We reckon it was around 4lbs and to put it in perspective, I am 6 foot 3 and 250 lbs. This was a hog of a fish and my PB for bass. What a great sunday it turned out to be. Will be heading up there again real soon.
  5. First video I have seen in a while where beads were used like that lol. Ahem.
  6. So JJ, Linda says you want to go fishing sometime. Lets do it. And yeah, I hear you usually get out fished by the wee guy :P Cheers Doug.
  7. Certainly not a small fish, would be a shame if he did die because someone through in uncooked peanuts.
  8. Couldn't agree more. The amount of fish sharks eat is tiny compared to what we take out of the ocean, so that argument about "protecting commercial fishing" is non-existant. Most sharks that size are after things like seals etc anyway. Long-line commercial fisherman are one of the main killers of sharks unfortunately. Like FishHeadRic says, removing a predator from the eco-system is never a good thing, and often many other species die off as well as a result. It would have been much better to have cut the line and let the shark go. Sheesh, if you want to see a MAKO, and alive at that, go to an aquarium.
  9. Its now on the frontpage of UK yahoo. Seems abit OTT to me. Its a fish.
  10. Fished there last weekend, not much going on unless you like crappie and very small SM bass. Between 2 of us, we got one 2lb smallie in 4 hours fishing. Won't be going back up there anytime soon, so that tells you all you need to know. And the river is very very low. You will need to hunt around to find the deeper pools.
  11. It sure is. Mirror carp are very common in Britain, I didn't know they were so common over here. Alot of them have reduced number of scales on them. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mirror_carp Well done. That is a really nice fish Victor.
  12. So where are these pics of the nice brook trout your buddy caught Splashhopper?
