I can and cannot wait to see who "takes my ID" as there is a 'market for that' and more so in my area of communications. So that's a hard pill to swallow to 'sit and wait' so to say. IN SHORT: If you were given ALL DATA about a person you can now go and fake it to be said person (photo ID clone is easy in this day and age). I know I could should I ever want to be that loser and wind up in jail for doing so.. Never will I though... I have too much personal info in front of me daily I don't want more... Here I sit, been trying to sleep since 12 and wide wake now still at 2:45AM with NO CLUE how this is going to turn out. The "person(s)" they sent this too has my whole ROE (record of employment) now and can do as they wish with it and my info. It takes a second to get an email and save it to a USB device to use down the road (or even hit FWD)... So PISSED and FRUSTRATED and want to ensure this never happens again with my employer or others. I NEED to find answers. I'm ready to go to corp and have people terminated due to ignorance here (but that's how angry I am) and those of you that know me that's not my style. If I post your name, DOB, SIN, Address and more and sure as ____ you would be after me cause so many can now find you and fraud your ID and take you to "the cleaners" right? All they did was mail me a letter admitting they did it to me and I am sure they will not give up info if they screwed up for others. Its a rather LARGE company This was HR sending my info off as there is zero saved to my work hard drive of my personal info... I'm livid still...

No CLUE! Sent ALL my info out to another person (with no reason provided to me) Oh I will! But if I need to take time away to fix anything due to this, I'll be all OVER THEM!

I was so fuming mad I was about to log into my webmail and email the sender of the letter and my direct HR manager. Decided a beer and a smoke and ask here before I "jump the gun" so to say Yeah but what type of lawyer as the only one I know is local and did my divorce and family law... Any ideas there folks? I need to protect me, my info from fraud and now worry about loss of wages spending time at Service Canada to ensure nothing has been done with my ID... If I have to, I'll go after them full tilt only if I know I won't burn up all my time and money doing so and will walk away in the positive. I'm not one for this "sue because of..." stuff but this company has really been "playing with the rules" for my sales team as of late too so I'm ready to fire back at them...

Hey all So what is one to do? I got a letter from work today saying sorry we messed up (basically) because at the start of May they sent ALL my personal info including DOB and SIN to someone in error and showing this 'random person' my earnings over the past 20 months too! I mean they sent it all! Didn't catch it for 2 weeks too! What can I do to protect myself AND can I do to go after them to pay for any damages that may come from this? With all my info someone can go buy what ever they want to right?!?!? I'm SO FUMING MAD right now I'm ready to walk into work tomorrow and snap on HR! Even if she wasn't the one that did it... What do I do now? *edit* Side note: can anyone else see a trend of some serious bad luck I have going on here as of late for me, am I now cursed? I sure as hell feel like it!!!

So Vince warned me that the one caliper was very bad and he did his best to save it. While driving my kids home (one way is 65KM) I could feel it binding from time to time. On my way home it was getting worse (to me as the driver). Message over to Ernie knowing he had a new RR caliper at home, he said "come over". Got there, presto change-o and my drive from his place home was MUCH better. It wasn't fully pooched just yet Vince as what you did gave it a bit more life but as someone who no longer likes to drive and has anxiety issues in general I needed it replaced. It wasn't seized yet as Ernie could still move it but it was getting there. So a HUGE shout out to Ernie for changing his plans, doing the work and hooking me up with the part! Talk about GREAT PEOPLE HERE!! Now to go get his a replacement caliper and a little somethin' somethin' for that!

Yes that's true, but it was sad to toss the full record set of every Beatles record and many more just like it... It's all good. I have my own bad luck... I figure when your last name ends a letter high in the alphabet like mine with a W the luck was shared with all the others before it had a chance to get to me...

Yeah they don't know about the "items" yet but the fridge and freezer were on but the washer, dryer and hot water tank were off (still dead now). I went when I could at random times but the person two doors down was doing the same for them, go in, test the hydro and make sure the fridge on the main floor was cold (they have lost hydro a few times in the past and lost a LOT of food between two full size fridges and an upright freezer!). They were not away long; a month. My dad also has a webcam set up so he can see if things are not right, the cam never picked it up as it was on a desk facing a thermostat to show them temp's in either me or the guy two doors down from them needed to run over. Ins is covering the damage removal and rebuild but that's all they know as of today... *edit to add* the cam kept working as an outlet is 14" off the floor as an avg and the water marks on the walls hit about 6" up. This is a LOT of water for a 1,400 sq ft raised bungalow.

Well this was NOT the opener I was expecting. My parents live on the lake and by this time we have 2 or 3 sections of dock in yearly and the boat lift so we (any of us from my folks to my kids and I) can get out and fish. This year, they came home to a destroyed basement due to a flood. I had been there a week before they got home (they got home 10 days ago) and the hydro was on and the wifi was working and nothing broken (windows or doors and zero missing) on the main floor so I left thinking all was well. Not knowing the basement was a POOL! So the kids and I went for a visit today. The basement has been gutted and the place is going to be 2 months before it's maybe able to be a livable space again... My folks lost a TON of items, food and all appliances. Sitting at $12K to remove the floor, walls and all the items in the basement so far. Estimated at another $46K to put the whole thing back together. Then the items on top of that... I lost a few things like a FISHTV unit (tv was full of water), 46" plasma TV and the playstation, dvd player and a bunch or other MISC items. So after seeing it all and hearing the costs I needed a smoke and a cast or 10 down at the lake. Wasn't was I was after but it felt good to have a big fish pull on a line again... Seeing it was and OOS fish I stopped casting right away and went back inside. And because I didn't plan on fishing I used a rod I gave to my daughter with a 1000 series reel on it; I need to get my daughter a new reel now too... What a day...

YES HE DID! And he did his best to make the old ones work till I get the other parts swapped for the right ones!

So Vince came by tonight to do the work and well wouldn't you know it but the parts company sent me the wrong ones! He did his best to fix what's there... With luck I can get it all sorted out soon...

It's all good. With luck I hear my doorbell ring soon

I got a PM today from a member from the Oakville area who's going to come help do the front's tomorrow after work. (waiting on the RR to come in still) As for your offer, you are one great and kind person my friend! My EX finally said yes she will drop my kids off here tomorrow evening. I just need to figure out Sun. I have to have them home for 4PM Sun and my folks are now back in Canada so they I think will come by and see my kids (been 8 weeks since they seen them) and offered to help in a pinch. But Cliff I DO thank you for the offer!!! Yes he is.

I happen to be on the local Lindsay bus route Tom and found a $2 in my spring jacket to get me to Can Tire for the lube and fluid I need. BUT, THANK YOU for the offer to help me there!!!

The calipers came in for the front, waiting on the rear. Anyone able to help and as stated above when the new pads were put on they were never lubed so if you can help please bring some lubricant for them too as I cannot drive it to go get some or drive it to a shop to be fixed as they are that bad and unsafe to drive... PM ME PLEASE if you can help! *edit to add* oh and a bit of break fluid too! I will give you cash for the items and time to help!

*Truck Update* So I get the truck (after the CRAP morning I was having-yesterday) to a local shop before I heading to work at 1PM for them to replace the front left caliper on such short notice. I asked them to do an oil change while it was in and check the other breaking systems too. Well wouldn't you know it but the truck needs three done (the front left was the least of my worries it turns out). Only 3 needed as E! did the last fouled up one so it's golden. The person I used "in a pinch" to do the pads and rotors never put the lubricant provided in the boxes on when he did the breaks so they are burning up and making a TON of noise too! So now the truck is OFF the road AGAIN till I get it fixed! This is really NOT GOOD considering I have my kids this weekend and cannot get them or take them home till the truck is safe to drive. Off Thurs and working Fri so who knows what I can do other then hope like hell the parts I just ordered online come in on Thurs for me to get the front end resolved and wait on another part for the RR. This month can please go away and end now, it's killing me in every sense of the way... Can really use a hand here to do this work folks as it's got to be done at my house on the driveway and my trusty mechanic has prior plans and cannot make it.
