  1. I just recently purchased a new boat(to me). It's 16 ft crestliner fish hawk. What's the best way to mount downrigging plates. My side gunnels are not very wide. Would it be better to have a board all the way across? If so whats the best way to mount it, and I want it removable. Any info appreciated Thanks Scooter

  4. Hey Dara, You can order them online or from the catalog. I don't know what it is about the red hook, but all my rigs the red is worn right off. The walleye seem to target the red hook. Scooter
  5. Dara save your self the hassel. Bass Pro Shop sell's pre made rigs. They are 48" long with two hook's and you have your choice of a red hook on the top or plain. I recomend getting the red hook! The leader line is fluorocarbon. All you have to do is add you beads and a cleavis and blade, and tie a knot at the end. It take longer to unravel them out of the package then to make your rig. Hope this helps. Scooter

  9. Nice fish Rob!! My brothers and I just got back from Callander. The weather sucked but will still managed some fish out at gautier's bay. We didn't get many in the slot and the bigest was 21inches. Look's like all the big fish are still in the south shore area. The nippising jig in orange and chartruse was the hot lure. Scooter

  19. Marysville makes the Accord.CRV mostly which sales haven't been as good as the civic. Alliston makes mostly civics which have been are bread and butter! Now that spring is here car sales usually start picking up. Talked to the dealer in Barrie and he told me that sales were slow in February but March has been quite busy. Let's hope were on the upswing with the econmy and get back to normal conditions and we can all start enjoying life again without having to worry if our jobs are going to be around.
  20. I work at Honda. All rumors. We are working full shifts right now, we had non poduction Fridays from the new year to March. There is no more non productions schedualed for now but there is a plant wide meeting next week. We are hearing maybe and extra week for shut down but that's it. We are still pumping out the civic's. There's lot of rumor's going around but most of them are false. All contract workers were let go and plant 2 is down to one shift, no layoff's for permanent asscociates. Scooter
  21. Nice fish fellas. That's my old stomping ground were you were. We use to drive the boat up onto the ice and fish under the ice! The last cottage on the left heading out to the lake has a real nice deep hole right up to the bend. Man I got to make some arangements and get up there. Scooter
