  1. could be JP Derose? not sure tho
  2. sure its a stretch......that's not the point though....i'm just saying that since there are a few cheaters out there, it doesn't mean that all tournament anglers are.
  3. i dont want to start an argument here but some of you guys seem to be classifying all tournament fishermen as "idiots"....its like somebody commits a murder.......does that make everybody else a murderer?
  4. That's what he said his name was.......hopefully I spelled it correctly
  5. I was walking through a local nature preserve yesterday and came across this little fella..... hope you enjoy the pics
  6. I'm a diehard wings fan but I'm thinkin Buffalo/Vancouver for the final series
  7. they look like some type of mergansers maybe
  8. I think it would be cool if a U.S. Series took it over....like make it a BFL division or something along those lines. They sure know how to get people hyped about bass fishing in the U.S. and I think that in order for a series to try and make it big in Canada they need to learn a thing or two from the U.S. ones.
  9. Its horrible news but like you said hopefully a big company with $$ will take things over.
  10. apparently not.....thanks for clearing up my questions fellas
  11. keep this discussion goin guys.....dont worry about goin off topic. I wanna know more thoughts about what people think about the transport going back to skeeters posts about transport during tourneys. Anybody else have any insight on that?
  12. good point skeeter.....a lot of tournament weigh-ins are located in a different location than the launch.
  13. yeah thats the one. they have many different names but its basically dropshotting....however from shore its not a vertical presentation but still pretty well the same principle
  14. I don't know about you guys but when I was a kid I used to shore fish and use a pickeral rig and those things caught just about anything out there....bass, pike, drum, perch, rockbass, sunfish, etc......and a pickeral rig is basically just a glorified way to dropshot right??
  15. no need to yell Flip.....thx for clearing that up guys
  16. I should just point out I don't have gamefish as pets nor think its a good idea. I'm just questioning what would happen in this situation however it seems like its just one of those laws we see so often with lots of gray areas
  17. lol but say there was some way to prove it was the same fish?? i dunno....just random thoughts on a boring Sunday
  18. Hey Everyone. I had a question that popped in my head earlier this morning and I was wondering what your thoughts on it were. When a fish is kept as a pet in an aquarium it counts towards your possession limit....right? Now lets use bass as an example.....You catch a bass during the legal season and decide its small enough to fit in your aquarium back home and you decide to keep it as a pet.....what happens when the season closes? if the fish is not returned does this make you in possession of an out of season fish? Just wondering what everyone else thinks about this. Brandon
  19. i also forgot to mention that in order to become a CO most guys work contract jobs for 5-10 years before they can even be looked at for a job as a CO. Also most contracts are from may-sept meaning for the first 5-10 years you'll have a seasonal career. Just a few more things to keep in mind
  20. I graduated last april from the fish and wildlife program and today, a year later I finally got news that I got a job in Orillia as a Wildlife and Pest Control Technician. This is the first job that college has actually played a factor in. If your looking at gov't work you better hope you know some people because thats what it takes.
  21. Alot of this comes down to personal bouyancy......some are sinkers and some are floaters. In college we did water training and part of that was swimming with waders on. regardless if you were a sinker or floater, all managed to swim fine......i mean its no walk in the park but its definatly doable. However this was in a pool indoors so Im sure it would be a whole lot diff in an actual panic situation.
  22. My first car was a 1995 Dodge Intrepid......ran fine until the oil pump died without warning on the 400. Ive heard of a few other cases like that happening as well. Mind you I only paid 300$ for the car but it sucks being stranded so far from home. So in my opinion I would keep shopping around......in fact I'm selling my 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo right now....229 000kms......runs great......safetied and etest.....$3500
