  1. Drifter... Dave... You're a big dood. I'll have to cut you off at 3. Carl, that'd be pretty cool if it happens. Good luck getting the job.
  2. Woke to this one morning in the fall of 2006. Someone was watching over Joe and I later that day.
  3. Slipped a vote in this morning. C'mon folks, vote if you can. Jen could use some OFC love.
  4. Lunds or Alumacrafts... both were my top two choices when buying as well. With two Lund dealers nearby, one just 15 minutes away, I chose the 16 foot Rebel XL. Plus, I think I just wanted a Lund having always really liked my buddies 16 foot Classic tiller. Tiller vs console is a very personal choice as only you know what your comfort level, season and fishing needs are on the water. I'd love to have both, but was happy to take the tiller. I fished last year into December, spent some time on two of Ontario's Great Lakes, chased everything fishy that swims, got wet a couple times because of having a tiller, but it never once really bothered me. Rainsuit and/or goggles came out a couple times. I like having the full boat in front of me, engaging everything ahead. The extra room and the quick response of the tiller is great as well. If fishing the GL's more often, then an 18 foot with a console would have been the choice, but the Lund handled BOQ well this year when picking the right days, same as the Ottawa River... and I got in and out of some smaller lakes with shallow launches unscathed as well. 16 foot is the workable size for big and small water. Enjoy whatever you get. Lund or Aluma, tiller or console, when it's yours it's the best thing on the water.
  5. Great looking speck. Wow. Looks like a cataract but on the wrong side of the pupil. Maybe scar of sorts like FG said.
  6. It's an amazing area. I'm sure guys booked will have a blast, and for $1000 that's tough to beat. From what I hear, water levels will be much much better this year than last. Should make river travel easy and open up spots that may haven't been hit too hard last year on the Skat.
  7. Billy if you're on FB and you haven't looked me up. Shame on ya!!! And no, ya can't compete. If the contest was for 20 people I'd still be looking for all the fishing partners to be women first. Haha! Abberz... get working on those 10 other friendships bud!
  8. Gem of a vid report. What a great day of specks.
  9. Bill... hehehe! It started with cats for me too.. then dogs, now kids. They're sick people, trust me I know. FSled... good of ya to lay chase... that cat probably uses your flower beds more than you think.
  10. That's just me Wayner... horny for fish. I'll let Bren know to cast a vote Jen's way too.
  11. 113 just now. Will poke in daily to rock the boat. Man..... looking forward to grabbing that peeling reel from the holder. Cha-cha-cha!
  12. Contest ends March 31st... April 1st I'll let this fall from page 1. Sorry gang, just too important to me to let slip by here or in the voting. If you haven't yet, please drop a quick "like" FB users. Thanks again.
  13. Read this last night from work and tried twice to reply with no luck. Anyways Dan, I got this sense from the report that you felt humbled, slightly excited and quite happy to get this experience. It could haven't worked out better for a nicer fella, and Lord knows you could use that break from work. Enjoyed that very much bud. First and last pics are the best this time around. Got that right.
  14. When I get up tomorrow afternoon from sleeping off work, I'll add the link to my faves above the weather and beat out a daily vote dood!
  15. Awesome dood. Amazing river to travel and fish, and home to some great friends.
  16. More votes keep comin' from OFC'ers... right on! Appreciated. I'm stoked about the possibility of this!!! Thanks all.
  17. Hoping the wheels don't fall off Randy. It's no race but we're burning some rubber here.
  18. Seriously people... I'm blown away already here. Win or lose, thanks a million times over for the support and kind words. Greatly appreciated. Contest ends March 31st so here's to hoping.
  19. Hi All. I have a huge favor to ask anyone and everyone who has ever enjoyed a Moosebunk report. I need your "like" which is basically a vote. For a number of years I have pumped out fishing reports to several Ontario fishing boards. It's a labor of love, something I do for myself as much as others. Countless hours as many know, have gone into writing and sharing photos online with other anglers. One report in particular always stood out as my favorite, and that was when Brenda and I shared a trip to Plummer's Arctic Lodge in the NWT. The original report I spread online for everyone was 90 photos and 11,000 words. Quite an undertaking. After that post, Big Jim approached me to ask I rewrite that report into 3000 words for his magazine "Just Fishing." We had to settle on a 6000 word piece to be run over two issues. I donated what was arguably my best written work to Jim for this, in thanks for him for running the article. Later, Plummer's asked if they could use my online report for reprint in their magazine Arctic Lure, I was happy to grant this request. Some time passed when later a friend of mine caught my picture in a magazine. A char photo was an advertisement for Plummer's. Just in that trip experience alone I have worked a ridiculous amount of time and enjoyed every minute. 17,000 words and 90 photos is equivalent to 7-10 feature articles in a magazine like Outdoor Canada. My payment was simply the satisfaction and pleasure of it for myself and others. PLUMMER'S ARCTIC LODGES HAS A STORY CONTEST ON RIGHT NOW AVAILABLE TO PAST GUESTS AND I HAVE MADE A SUBMISSION. ALLOWED 750 WORDS I HAVE DESCRIBED MY 2008 TRIP THERE AS THE CONTEST GUIDELINES REQUEST. THE PERSON'S STORY WHICH RECEIVES THE MOST "LIKES" AT THEIR WEBSITE, WINS A RETURN TRIP. IT'S AT THIS TIME, I BEG ANY OF YOU TO PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR VOTE AND ALLOW ME TO RELIVE PLUMMER'S AGAIN, SO I MIGHT RETURN BACK TO YOU ALL WITH ANOTHER GREAT STORY TO TELL. GO TO THIS LINK PROVIDED AND BELOW MY STORY WHICH IS TITLED, "LYING BENEATH THE DREAM GIVING TREE." CLICK ON THE "LIKE" ICON THERE BELOW MY STORY TITLE SO I CAN COUNT YOUR VOTE. http://www.plummerslodges.com/share-your-story-contest/entries'>http://www.plummerslodges.com/share-your-story-contest/entries'>http://www.plummerslodges.com/share-your-story-contest/entries http://www.plummerslodges.com/share-your-story-contest/entries http://www.plummerslodges.com/share-your-story-contest/entries A million thanks to all who vote. It would be greatly appreciated you take this 1-minute to hook a brother up. Moosebunk.
  20. That's an interesting looking spoon. Whities for ling. Fun either way dood! Some nice fish.
  21. Mike and steelhead! That's what has been missing around here for a time now.
  22. THe Columbia bibs I have are great..... ummm were great. Don't ice fish 'em on cause auger blades have a tendency to slice through fabric when you're not paying attention.
  23. Enjoyed that Jo. & Co. Fine pics and write up. Thanks. Nice to see Terry nab a few too.
  24. There needs to be two or three of ya Wayne for that pace of one.
