  3. Hey Guys, My wife has been quietly wanting one for a while and i've been thinking about grabbing her one for Valentines day for her upcoming trip to Italy. I read reviews etc, but i'm wondering if anyone on the board has had any experience with one, or owns one. Thanks Dave
  4. Thanks guys...I'm pretty handy but when it comes to the plumbing and electrical work I wouldn't know where to begin.
  5. Hey All, So I had a plumber in to install the hard water line, my fridge and my dishwasher. I built my house and there was supposed to be a dishwasher rough in. The rough in for the plumbing is there, however, there is no electrical rough in. So the plumber has a buddy who is an electrician and quoted me $150-200 to run wiring from my kitchen (5 feet) install a junction box then run wiring to my electrical pane...I'm not too handy and haven't really needed an electrician before. Is the quote too high?? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Dave
  6. No more disturbing the the alligator harvesting on Swamp People
  7. Just picked up Muskoka Lager, Hockley Valley Pale Ale, Amsterdam, Waterloo Dark and of course...moosehead lol
  8. I'm not sure and have never come across this, but since the sled is a motor vehicle, I'd say the driver is responsible. I mean if a guy is flying around and hits a buried utility box and hits it, then he's responsible...I think the same thing goes. If anyone wants a real answer I can ask a buddy of mine in the marine unit who works most winter days on simcoe
  9. Snow has picked up here too... They called off the winter storm warning but from what I saw this morning the snow is worse now
  10. The CKCO noon news were showing road closures ...Hwy 21 in Godrich is closed but it was hilarious to see sleds rippin down the closed roads
  11. That's awesome... My neighbour has a 12 year old son....when he wants to make easy money he knocks on my door and asks if he could shovel my drive way. Anytime there's been snow there he is...except for today, i guess there was too much for him lol
  12. There's about 6 inches on my deck and I cleared it off the day before
  13. Yeah, other than the drifts around my van and the 3 foot pile of snow the plow left there wasn't really anything to shovel
  14. I got up a 3am to get ready for work and I heard my daughter coughing the classic barking cough so....I staued home to take care of my daughter since my wife doesn't get family sick days and our babysitter is sick too so I bit the bullet So now its a day full of "daddy I'm sick" and cartoons on the couch
  15. from what i read in the paper, TekSavvy is being hammered with these new charges
  16. i don't think anything will change because the Feds aren't doing anything about the power that Bell and Rogers have. It's an UNFAIR legal Monopoly... If you look at every other country in the world, internet, cable and cell phone packages are much cheaper with better service. I have a friend in Holland that pays around $35 for UNLIMITED cell phone use, internet and cable....I don't pay $35 for one of them...thanks Rogers
  17. rogers charges $5 per gig you're over to a maximum of $25... it's the small independent providers that are getting hit, not rogers and bell.
  18. Can't go wrong with Amsterdam or waterloo dark... The worst microbrew I've ever had had to be iron spike from st thomas and there's a beer made by the grand river brewing co. in Cambridge...it was so bad it tasted like the river lol
  19. Hey all, went through the marsh and the boardwalk at Riverside Park in Cambridge, Let me know what you think
  20. Lol..nah I actually work in an office, not out of the stations And the only problem that I have there is that the only decent couches to sleep on are in the boss' boss' office
  21. You know...in major snows people are shocked that I show up at work. Not only that, when the snow shuts us down people are shocked that I don't crash at the office or in a hotel. What gives? Its only snow.
  22. I use the LED flash lights from home depot. A pack of 6 costs 9.99, they're really bright and I use them as my back up light at work
