  1. I can confirm it...got mine a year after Wayne and at better price than him/Brian So yes Josh is the place to go for sure. Especially right now with the London fishing show coming up this weekend. This is exactly the time of the year I got mine...Josh is much more willing to deal during the show... Talk to Brian for info on the show and Josh... Cheers, Ice Fisherman
  2. Niow Joey, I am yet to see one report of yours that doesn't have at least one super great picture... Not sure about whities fishing but if you concentrate on the photo thing you might surprise pleasantly yourself Cheers, Ice Fisherman
  3. Thanks for your honest opinions girls and guys.... I'll give it several more days but yes with the kids walking is not an option...no snow machine yet...so as previous years I'm just trying to find a good day at the end of the season I can drive...when they get tired/cold just put them inside the car with the heat on and voila...they are happy... And yes Terry when I go it'll be most likely from 9-th line to the middle of the lake...if anything we should get couple more inches in the next few days with around -15 temps at night...sooooo....almost there ;-) Cheers, Ice Fisherman
  4. Another good report Rick wish some action shots too ha ha Same question to you too I guess... similarly to Rob I would like to take both kids out...but can only do it while the car is around...the little one cannot walk kilometers ...sooo...the $66,000 question - with no snow and no slush are there cars/trucks been driven out there today? Hoping all this water from 2 days ago is frozen by now solid and has added few more inches to the ice thickness? Cheers, Ice Fisherman
  5. Great report - thanks. Any chance of been able to drive a vehicle on the ice this week? I'd think with all the water from last week frozen it might be getting close? Cheers, Ice Fisherman
  6. Rob we moved about 3 miles only once...but the depth remained the same 88 fow. Cheers, Ice Fisherman
  7. If anything it should be better next weekend Bruce... Cheers, Ice Fisherman
  8. Very easy going Wayne....lots of water but it is draining in the wholes...and all snow is gone and almost all slush is gone as well...couple days of cold temps and it'll be the best ice to travel this year. ATV's and sleds all over the ice today....need good dry boots though...and cleats too Yep it sure was windy but don't mind the wind when temp is 12 degrees By the way with all you great eyes fishery up there I envy you big time... Lets trade a whities Simcoe trip for an eye one up your way Cheers, Emil
  9. What a nice day on the lake today...even a bit windy but almost no slush and definitely no snow left...lot of water draining into the holes though....should make for a nice drive next week when it all freezes. Started about 8:30...and got a quick laker and missed a whitie....then Rick got his whitie....and we kept marking them but they were not very aggressive...so Rick took the executive decision to move at 10am.....and it was the right decision too.... Found the hungry ones....and finish the double limit quickly and have released many more to swim and get bigger until next time The tech info from the day: 88 fow, 90% of the fish caught on Meegs....few were caught on Williams... Here is the shot of the day courtesy of Rick's camera... Finally my fish to look as clean and washed as Ricks ha ha ha Cheers, Ice Fisherman
  10. Appreciate the annual invite Bruce. It sure made Jordan smiling year to year and talking about it to his brother and neighborhood friends. Smelts were not as numerous as last year but there could only be one reason for it - someone (read Steve) has caught them all last weekend) ha ha ha Oh well it was a nice day together. Looking forward to see you aboard my salmon fishing machine in the summer. Cheers, Ice Fisherman
  11. Whities are not at IBP area this year....but they are still in Simcoe Just got to find them...takes longer walk/drive but for those who persist rewards are there Cheers, Ice Fisherman
  12. Thanks Bud, this is more like it... Joey you owe be a beer ha ha ha Cheers, Ice FIsherman
  13. Hahahaha Joey, I knew you been the forum photograph will not buy the "technical difficulties excuse" but blame Chuck for it Cheers, Ice FIsherman
  14. Yep that is right...it is been a while since I managed to get Simcoe laker on the ice but today I did... Started earlier with more reasonable walking distance this time...and we were fishing by 8am...took a while for the fish to wake up but when it did we did most of the damage between 9:00 and 9:45am both Williams and Meegs worked well...the laker hit a Meegs lure.......88 fow... And it was super cold...very bad wind...still a lot of slush beds though I've notice the ice got thicker...some are parking on the ice. On the way home by Noon...still a nice day with good friends and lot of laughs... RickOnt thanks again for pulling that sled for the last "mile" sure made a difference just walking and not having anything in our hands Hope we manage to go out next week with you... Because of technical difficulties I don't have the pictures but Chuck will try posting them in reply to this post. Fish smoking time again tomorrow Cheers, Ice Fisherman

  21. Well after almost 9 years at the company I've lost my job in December as a result of company restructuring. I guess this tough economy finally got to me. Only few OFC members know about this as I didn't want to make too much noise and was hoping to find a new job one quickly. After few weeks of intensive search though no much result, so I thought it maybe time to ask the grater OFC community for help... As they say networking is everything now days especially when job searching... Who knows maybe some one have heard/seen came across something suitable... I was working for a large security integrator as an Account Executive managing large commercial accounts. Specifically doing CCTV, IP Video....in general video security projects all over Ontario. Have been working in the video security industry for over 15 years. Account Management and Account Executive (sales/project management) positions. Two Bachelor Degrees (Mechanical Engineer and in Business and Management) Located in Georgetown, ON so anything in the GTA area will be good. Have tried my former competitors, suppliers, distributors, on line adds, you name it...not many suitable positions open out there...and the ones I found were rather small companies with offerings far less than what I was having until now. So unfortunately not much to show at this point. Have an updated resume if any one wants me to forward it. Been left on one income (my wife's) and with two small kids and mortgage etc. is not much fun as I am sure you all know...so...as much as I don't like making it public I am afraid I don't have much choice but to ask for your help... Feel free to PM with any specific questions you may have. Thank you in advance. Cheers, Ice Fisherman
  22. Well I am in the opposite corner so to speak...I seem to have found where the big boys are hiding (whities) but am dependent on finding someone with a snow machine willing to give me a ride to get there So here is the deal you provide the ride I provide the fish....ha ha ha You or anyone else willing to go chase the big boys feel free to PM me At this point this Thursday and Friday look good weather wise so...lets rock... Forget the perch...only fish for it when no big boys around Cheers, Ice Fisherman
  23. Glad you found them Rick... Did you tell them to be ready for another visit ....soon Cheers, Ice Fisherman
  24. Well Brian, not sure we we ever get enough ice for driving....just too much snow on the ice and too much slush despite the super cold temps recently...so we'll have to wait and see but doesn't look to good right now for a car/truck drive any time soon . Cheers, Ice Fisherman
  25. Nice report and pictures as always Joey...are you a photographer for living? Cheers, Ice Fisherman
