LOL Yup. all because of little ol me!! Never said he was the greatest player in the history of the universe, that was Gretzky. Remember him? The guy who high sticked Tucker and then scored the GWG to send the laffs packing the golf bags ,,,,bwahahaahaha Just another of many player to unset the laffy fans and give them reason to hate others. Not the fact the laffs suck but every body else is to blame. It must be a conspiracy.

I too had a pair of h2optics for about 5-6 years and they were awesome. Until I kneeled on them ice fishing .dumass. I bought a pair of Bluewater optics to replace them and they are also quite nice. They'll last for many years with proper care.

You can't argue with the fact he gave it his all while he was here. I think both sides dropped the ball during the resigning negotiations, it definitely could have ended better. That said, Alfie made Ottawa his home for 17 years, was excellent with the community and doesn't owe us anything. I wish him all the best and will fondly remember all the good times. I look forward to the day we see his number in the rafters. I'm also happy all the laff fans will now be booing Detroit, at least until the end of the regular season, at which point the laffs will be riding the pine again!

Ah c'mon Roy, it's Canada's game, it's in our culture to talk about it and criticize other teams players!

With the start of a full season after the lockout just around the corner you have to wonder about Kadris attitude and conduct. Being disrespectful to one of the pioneers of modern hockey reporting. WTH Who does this guy think he is? Has he been smoking up with Rob Ford? Does he really think he is worth that much money? Is this guy for real, holding out???? Stay tuned next week for another exciting episode of "As the laff turns"

How much do you fish topwater for muskies?
muskymatt replied to bigcreekdad's topic in General Discussion
I use them religiously. Actually I'm somewhat of a topwater junkie. Top 2 for me are Topraiders and Jackpots, with Topraiders "usually" first out of the box, but I definitely use the Jackpot more often. There is something about watching that bait coming in with a torpedo behind it that has me hooked. The Jackpot is also an excellent search bait, if you want to know if there is a fish in the area, this bait will bring them in. -
I've got the 115 etec and it trolls marvelously. Quiet, vibration free and purrs like a tiger. Anywhere from about 1.5 for lakers and walleye up to 6mph for muskie. Gas consumption is awesome, I also have a merc 9.9 l ro kicker and its hard to tell which burns less while trolling. The etec is definitely quieter though. I use the 9.9 to keep the hours from piling up on the big motor. The etec is also smoke and smell free. In my opinion it is ideally suited for trolling.

A few scenery shots and a few fish (Vacation 2013)
muskymatt replied to muskymatt's topic in General Discussion
A few fish A decent little spotty from the Larry A few lakers from the Big Rideau today, threw 2 more back and lost a fattie at boatside. -
With the cost of owning a cottage, the time commitment with maintenance and also it pretty much locks you into one location, my wife and I have been renting a cottage for a week every year for the past 10 years. We have had the pleasure of renting in the Bancroft area, Big Rideau lake on an island, PEI(saweeeet) and this year, the Thousand Islands just west of Gananoque. WOW, what a beautiful area. I have been fishing the Larry for about 10-12 years now, but most of the time was spent looking at a GPS/Sonar rather than the scenery. This year was different. We spent 7 days relaxing, swimming, skiing, tubing, relaxing, fishing, playing games, having fires and did I say relaxing...lol. here is a few pics of the area

WOW, who woulda saw that coming......Alfie turns Red Wing......total shock!! Bobby Ryan softens the blow a bit though. But Clark McCarthur?????????? I'm a little confused with Alfies choice though as his reason is he wants to win a cup, seriously?? Detroit is not a cup favorite in my books. Oh well, what can ya do, he gave us his whole career and p/o'd the laff fans for most of it so he doesn't owe us anything.. Good luck to ya Alfie..

Nice fish but not good news for the Kawarthas Muskie population!

Need expert opinions on potential selling value
muskymatt replied to muskymatt's topic in General Discussion
Thanks for the input guys. Just can't get my head around the pricing though even if it is an older hull. Its aluminum and in top shape , shouldn't that be what matters ? The etec are $13, 000 new, this still has 2.5 yrs warranty left. The kicker was almost $6000 alone and is only 4 yrs old the I pilots are $1500. That's almost $20, 000 of power within the last 4 yrs not including anything else, like the $3500 new trailer. Its got to be worth more than $8-10 , no? Maybe breaking it down wold be the way to go instead of basically giving it away. -

An expert obviously! My guess is a laff fan, who also misjudged the potential of his team for the last 47yrs. :/
