  1. Ah Wayne, this was what I was waiting for!!! Sounds like you guys had a blast even if the fishing and weather didn't co-operate to much.
  2. If you haven't already check out www.hipwader.com
  3. We used to get big browns on frozen smelt off the St.Catharines Game and Fish boat launch docks all the time. Probably a bit early still, but that place holds a tonne of fish!. Nice report and awesome 'ski!
  4. LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Thanks for the info Cliff! :EDIT: Would you recommend a noodle rod + spinning setup vs a float rod/reel for a newbie? I am trying to pick up a 7wt flyrod for steel this fall/winter as my 4wt probably won't cut it, but don't wanna drop big $$$ on a float setup if I don't have to.
  6. How would you fish those? Under a float? (Trying to get into steelhead this fall, complete newb as far as steelhead are concerned )
  7. Awesome, thanks man.. I'll make sure I pick up some heavier jigheads before we head out.
  8. Bah, just take notes....you'll feel smarter next time!!!! Glad you got things sorted out.
  9. haha! I hope you find something, the prices aren't bad. I want to pick up a set of breathable waders, I would die in neoprene, lol
  10. There are some on the Cabela's Canadian site. cabelas.ca
  11. Imagine if GCD and Johnny Bass went fishing together? The women would overtake the forums!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
  12. We are staying at Antlers Kingfisher Lodge, so I would assume in and around that area of the river. We are up for anything, pike/bass/pickerel whatever....
  13. So I guess Marc put you guys on some fish? Where's the report?!?!?!?! I think we should try our luck again out on the Bay, I think we owe it to ourselves after the 8hrs of trolling we did with not even a bump.
  14. I've b een using hip waders all this summer and to tell you the truth, they suck. Chest waders are the only way to go.
  15. Nice to see you back Wayne I've heard the Ottawa is horrible, no muskie, nothing
  16. Thanks man, my parents are about 10mins from Musky's Landing Watch out for the rocks, they are everywhere. If you are fishing bass, I'd most likely be looking for the flats next to deep water and whatever weed lines you can find. If you get calm mornings, the topwater bite should be awesome!!! Let us know how it turns out.
  17. Geez, from solo's awesome post to this, I am full of jealousy Welcome aboard!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. According to the fellows on the Grey/Bruce forum, nothing as of yet.

    CABELAS

The person who originally took your call made the mistake of saying you could bring in the busted bag without the trays.. Although even if you didn't, they should have swapped bags and put the new trays in the old bag and RMA'd it with their vendor anyhow.
  20. Welcome aboard! You won't find a better group of guys or gals. So much information and a willingness to help each other out!
  21. Started using tubes for SMB (Yeah, don't ask me why it took sooo long, lol) along with dropshot rigs. Wacky rigged for LMB a few times, really enjoyed that... Definitely a fun way of fishing, although I still like tossing topwater.
  22. Brookies and Browns are closed
  23. Drag and drop to an external hard drive is so simple. 12CD's per week? Cheaper solutions out there...

1500lbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Those commercials absolutely slay me.
  25. Errrrr..... can you give us the website addy or somewhere we can read up on it? $200 to backup something seems awful fishy. You'd be better off to buy an external harddrive and do it that way.
