  1. Sure there is, if you hate line twist. If you enjoy it, then definitely don't run a swivel above your float and also run mono and make wicked long hero drifts If there was any correlation between break offs and the amount of knots you've got in your rig, you might have a point but you don't. Tie your knots properly, check them often and it doesn't matter. I think one of the best ways to combat line twist is to run slip floats. Like Mike mentioned above, the float does twist up the line a lot more then people realize.
  2. You'll mess one up eventually if you're only tying 3... It makes no difference.
  3. You need a different prop, give Kawartha Prop a call, tell them what you've got and they'll give you their recommendation.
  4. Nordics are good tires. I'd even consider going a bit smaller on the tire, maybe a 225 or 215 series with a taller sidewall. The bonus of this is if you have to you can air it out a bit more without worrying about running on the rims in really bad weather. Thinner tires tend to cut through the crap a lot better then the wider ones do. I run 225 in the summer, 195's in the winter.
  5. Only if he attaches a few marshmellows.
  6. Your problem was that Doug brought bananas... You were doomed from the start.
  7. I use the same XXXS Raven swivels I do from shot > leader. No issues here. Braid also cuts down on the line twist as well, although you always get a bit (But nothing like running mono)
  8. Yup.. The last thing I'm fishing for while in Florida are bass.. So many better saltwater options (Which aren't expensive either). Get some shrimp, do a bit of searching on Google and go at it.
  9. Right on Dave! I dunno what I'd do more, take pics or fish
  10. No matter what braid you pick, I'd be running some thick flouro leaders.... 30-40lb would be the ticket and might save you from a few bite offs.
  11. Find a close out Panasonic or Samsung plasma. should be discounted now that they are discontinued. Still the best picture quality for the price.
  12. People here aren't feeding you a line of Bull, lol. Braid isn't very abrasive resistant, especially compared to mono or flouro.
  13. Run it over a rock instead then compare that to mono or flouro, braid doesn't put up with much before it's shredded and looks like spaghetti strands.
  14. It's too bad Rome is only 2 seasons! I just finished with Boardwalk Empire, amazing series..
