  1. Skip---that's the camera---they're both blue I learn something every day about photographing my paintings----but I talk with other painters and unfortunately----there's sometimes no substitute for real time viewing I work hard to get it as close as possible but---I'm told internet art may even boil down to monitor calibration. Welcome to the new age
  2. Thanks Again All
  3. Yup In real life---My boat is named "Alice E." The day after I took delivery of my boat in 96 my mother passed away So I named the boat after her---Alice Elizabeth or E. She was forever warning me about the dangers of waters and to make sure if there was lightning to get off the lake--so in this way She always would remind me. So fast forward to my painting------that li'l abbreviated name is something us painters hide in our works from time to time
  4. Thanks All Again Lookin at it--amazing the difference looking at the thumbnail pic and clicking it opened
  5. OK here's the 1st of 2012---started in 2011 mind you 24 x 36 Titled: "Canadian Gothic" (Play on farmer couple--American Gothic)

  11. Had this been Tomorrow I could have blamed it on New Years parties---for my hearing But could'nt believe that one---I'll make sure I won't watch another minute of this guy
  12. Caught the last couple minutes of the show "Hooked on Utah" on wfn Here's buddy saying at the end---gonna stop pike fishin and start fishin for loons---ok thought it was a one line joke Nope---he goes on about does'nt matter what line you use---mono is better as they can''t see it drag hooks over them and set it hard----barbless hooks are easier to remove----it's a good fight if they start to fly you can eat em but they taste muddy NO Disclaimers about joking---nothing I know we have cormorant issues--not so much loons and they should be addressed but this is crazy---ya can't make this up.
  13. Great News---Stay Well---
  14. funny---steelheaders won't post in case somebody takes their spots---so there is an assumption lurkers are out there trying to fast-track the experience curve How can that same logic not be applied in unsafe ice fishing--talking from experience--some times youthful enthusiasm and excitement will cloud safe judgement.
  15. Good Tip there Roy---Kids and the inexperienced should stay away till it's been cold for an extended period with safer conditions 4 inches in one place could be half an inch very nearby---no fish in this world worth lookin up at the bottom of the ice for. some may see this on the board here and not know about things like creek flows---neck down areas etc.
