  1. Closer shot
  2. Jeremiah was attacked by wolves--this is actually painted on a bi-fold closet door--real treat
  3. Self explanatory
  4. Eagle towards ridge--less than inch long
  5. Elk at base--actually about an inch and half high
  6. Of course Jeremiah was a mountain man---note the elk at mtn base for size perspective--also an eagle flies towards that ridge.
  7. Well after nearly a year of painting the walls of my studio I think I'm finally finished. With my back injury it has been a very long process--a little bit at a time. The theme I went with really relates to my website handle here for 2 reasons---I used to live in the north and growing up "Jeremiah Johnson" was my all time favorite movie. So each wall relates to these items or ideals. If you've seen the movie you can relate. The room started out with a hardbord panelling so you can see the seams. The room is very small maybe 8x7. I will explain how each pic relates. Actually my first pic is a poster I have hanging in my studio--just to keep perspective. Bushart
  8. You mean Chronzy is not about education-----OH NO!!!!! Oh wait maybe it was learning the proper technique about tossing someone off the end of a dock--or something akin to that
  9. Offshore did'nt stop Yamaha It is weird though---just look at the size of the forest industry in Canada---ever look where the chainsaws are made... Bushart
  10. I was driving this morn thru the valley and seen a vehicle comin at me with an empty black trailer behind---definetely gave it the once over---different fenders--will keep lookin Bushart
  11. Actually this really happened to me a few years back.... I'm at the intersection (lighted) in Sundridge Ontario and I was trying to turn right on the red to head south down hwy 11--anyway traffic coming down 11 was very busy and it was not safe to pull out----this nice lady in her mercedes suv starts honking at me as though I should run it and possibly put my family in peril. Anyway when green I turned right and of course she blows by me and you guessed it flips me the salute. Now I've been driving for 30 years so I have a rough idea whats up--kind of uncalled for on her part. But I think the big issue here is "Are we not in cottage country to slow down and relax" More and more it's race outta town and then try and cram as much as possible into a day and a half and basically take your stressed life and move it north for the weekend.---anyone caught in that long weekend traffic nightmare will confirm. Anyway this is not as much a rant as an observation. Bushart
  12. I've fished Eagle as well and you would'nt want to be in a 14 ft'r in the stretch as it's called when the wind pipes in--Osborne Bay in the east can also howl---good angling for sure---but locals will always default to Lac seul for consistent trophys. Bushart
  13. If your going to go that far I would suggest looking up lodges on Lac Seul. Fished there quite a bit and it's hot for trophy walleyes. Camping is available on one of a thousand islands (sandy beaches) Both Eagle and lac Seul have slot sizes so there somewhat equal there. I would want a good sized boat on either of these lakes. 14. looks great---lots of detail Bushart
  15. looks good Bushart
  16. Advice given to me as a younger person was "Do not throw good money after bad" turned out to be true. Depending on the extent of the boat damage and estimated fix-up price $200 is in the park---the motor sounds like something you will have to make sure you have a long tow rope. A few years back I purchased a 16 foot deep lund alum and 20 hp johnny for 1500---everything worked great (little hard on fuel) If this is a boat for the cottage to fool around a bit maybe you could fix the boat and get yourself a new electric ----just to get you out there until you can upgrade---realistically your not going to go too far in big water in a 14 footer anyway. 17. Picture looks good---I am sorry to hear of your family's health issues--I will keep her in my prayers. Bushart
  18. Thanks Wal-mart usually has some reasonable priced supplies---caution it may become addictive. Bushart
  19. You Bet
  20. OK just getting the day started and I thought I'd post this picture of what I have hanging in my studio---gives me somebody to talk to when I'm painting which I believe falls under artistic licence. Bushart
  21. Thanks Guys I use your basic stretched canvas that you can get at most art supply stores and typically use acrylic paint. Actually I just bought another canvas and I'm wondering which direction to go. Bushart

    Thanks Guys Bushart
  23. Thanks for your comments.. Actually as a young man I travelled all around the country even above the arctic circle with a job with the Hudson's Bay Co. Also I used to guide in Northwestern Ontario and fish extensively in eastern Ontario. So when asked I say that most of my work is a compilation of things I've seen or at times I'm concerned about. For instance after spending some hunting time on a farm in the Ottawa valley I painted my field/stone fence pic or one season after some encounters with timber wolves in Northwestern Ontario I painted my wolf howling pic and so on. 24. Close-Up
  25. I think everyone should be an artist cause it makes life a little easier if your eccentric---someone may say "Hey that guy's kinda weird" then someone else could say "He's an artist" then it's oh ok. Anyway that work in progress thing was bugging me so I tuned it a bit more---added a mid-river rock spit and added action to the fish. Hopefully and pretty sure it's finito--Ill add a close-up again Bushart
