So my bro in law and I met up with fellow OFC'r crappieperchhunter this morning in PB. Always nice to meet up with other board members to fish.
We started out at 25' and found 7-8" of good ice. There were lots of sleds and atv's out (not a recommendation!). the action was slow at first, just a few dinks here and there. After awhile crappieperchhunter decided to go look for the fish, while the lazier among us decided to wait for the fish to come to us. Neither strategy worked out the well sadly with 3 keepers in total, but hey, it was a day of fishing, who's complaining? Not me.

No worries, there's always next time.
I'm fishing come hell or high water so if anyone wants to join up I'm game.

Hey all,
I'm aiming to walk out from Port Bolster Saturday morning and most likely going to be solo. Send me a PM if you're looking for someone to walk out with (safety in numbers and all)
I have all my own gear and a one man flip FYI.
Good luck on the ice this weekend all!

My Terrova came with a foot pedal.

I picked up the Rapala Cruzer M1 flip over hut at Sail in Oshawa last night for $299 (reg $449). They had lots left if anyone is interested.
I use a pop up when going with a group but I wanted this for when I'm fishing alone.
I'm pretty impressed with the quality and space inside. Can't wait to get it on the ice.

Damn! Better be careful posting pics like that, you might find yourself the subject of a FOI request! ?

First thing I did was change the 'Wood' themed skin, lol. Now on a simple white setup.
How? I can't find any skin options....

Most new cars won't allow you to use cruise control without traction control on.
In winter I turn off traction control but leave dynamic stability control engaged. Going around a curve one day and hit some ice and I was real impressed how the DSC gathered it up and put me back on track.

I have the silver, blue is slick though!
I wanted black but they didn't have one fully loaded
I got mine in black...... Looks great, sucks to keep clean...

AFAIK, any hydrographic/bathymetric data held by the government is available to anyone. Many lakes are charted but not all. So if a private company graphed a previously uncharted lake, it would be up to them what they did with that data.

I've read conflicting info on the forums about that. Putting the gears into manual via the steering wheel apparently does(according to a video on the subject) , but haven't confirmed tow/haul does?
On the Chevy you have to drop it from Drive to M5 for it to stop using four cylinder mode. Whether you're in tow/haul or not.

You have made that point many times, in the other thread and now this one. I'm not questioning if you're a stand up guy or credible. I'm only suggesting "live and let live" might be the best course of action here.Just making a point that Akri says one thing, then when called on it, says another.

Play nice boys . . . play nice....
I don't see how Akri can be blamed here. He's not the one bringing an old beef to a new thread.

A great talent and by all accounts a great man. RIP Gordie.

I thought it was just a slow shutter speed/long exposure....

Sold my boat. Now what?

Not sure if it's an interest or an option for you, but give some thought to a fishing kayak. It's easy to throw in the back of my pickup and it's way more fun to fish from than my boat. So much more that I'm selling my boat in spring. I was on the fence because I wanted to keep it but I'm paying to store it and I don't use it enough. The kayak made it an easy decision.
