I agree with you BillM but that would mean no possession limit (which im fine with) and alot of work would have to be done on the watersheds to improve them. -

ITS ABOUT TIME.........They should do one better and have no possession limit, all c&r. Also they should start stocking the watersheds too. Go the same route as the states. Their rivers boast great numbers of bows and maybe add a few co's to the mix as well -
Thinking of going to the whirlpool? I suggest you use the stairs !!!!

WOW they were almost candidates for the charles darwin award. -
Looks like you had a good time Mike. Nice fish for such a hot week. As far as the shed goes buy her a fashionable set of polars and the shed won't look so orange anymore regards andy

There is bass walleye pike and lakers, maybe a muskie to be had along the way. Bass is closed until late june so just the rest are open. Clear lake in Arnstein and wilson lake offer good oppertunities as well as french river. good luck
-
yes there are. One in Porcupine on martin street and one in south porcupine right by the airport hotel and bar, bruce street if i remember. Nighthawk is a good bet, but it is a big shallow system so if there is bad weather and your in a canoe, your in trouble. Google those streets and you'll find launches at the end of them.

Hi there: I was born and raised in timmins and they are kinda right about mattag. It Runs through the uptown portion of timmins on highway 101. You can fish there but i have never seen people catch alot of walleye there. If you want a good shore spot, fish anywhere you can find land on porcupine lake in porcupine (burb of timmins). Tons of big hungry walleye in there, but there is a slot. Night fishing is good as well as morning. good luck

Good Friday definitely lived up to its name.....
strakey replied to BillM's topic in General Discussion
Man you guys had a good time. It seems like the fish in the south are running strong and everything around here has pushed way up river to the spawing beds. Between you guys and aaron shirley's post there are no steel left in the rivers that haven't seen a hook. -
I was wondering why im not geting so many up river from there............ya punks are steelin my fish. pun intended
-
Keep tryin.............. there is a resident spawner waiting with your name on it, not to much else are in the rivers so far.
-
Impressive to say the least Mike, glad to see you teach an old dog new tricks. Wish i could say the same for my mom. She was the one who put me on to fishing and i never had a chance to get her out pinning. Nice job

Got out on friday and went 3-4 with a sucker. Here is the beat up war veteran that took me for a ride. For all of yous' that might complain he was back in the water before the shutter closed. I guess its time to wait for the run. good fishin everyone

I have to agree with kickin frog and bushart and others, the only music worth listening to is nature. Its not always the best ie fishing downtown t.o., but usually it is really good Tight lines all
-
Mike those locations should be crammed with people, i haven't seen it looking that good even the times i was there. Beautiful scenery and fish, makes our tribs look crappy. good fishin
-
Hey jocko this is an aquatic salamander that never matures into the land form or newt. Not that common around northern ontario but seemingly nippising has a decent population, just like the odd chinook that comes out of there. happy froggin
-
found in a local trib only known to u and i. You'll have to check it after work on a regular basis
-
no man the magic ain't his when we go fishing, its must of transferred to your new stick. we'll all have to plan a trip to clear this up for once and for all.
-
Mike this notes for you. This was the only fish in the system, im pretty sure the rest are headed out your way attracted by the magic of the lamiglass
-
Mike im not to sure how you do it but you are a steelhead magnet. They must leave every other river and gravitate to you when you go fishing, because my rivers arn't coughin up anything. Good first spring post
-
Anywhere you can find water you can find bass.........and gators. Bring one of those telescopic fishing rods and some spinners/buzz baits, plastic and some cranks and you'll be set.
-
Zeppelin, guess who, floyd, and various others, but zeppelin has the best crusin tunes in my opinion
-
I agree mike. I had it when it first came out as a promo with a cup of bought coffee and it was great, convient to bring along anywhere. Now if it only increased fish catching properties.....................
