  3. Thats what im hoping for Brian, im not expecting to find it but hopefully there are still some good people out there, id pay a fair bit of cash to have that setup back. yesterday went out for some pike and snapped my streamside rod in half reeling in a pike, talk about bad luck.
  4. It was a st croix legend xtreme with a metanium lh retrieve. I left it behind on the grass while I was looking for a bag to put my pike in and realized shortly after but it was gone when I came back a couple hours later. Ive been looking on Kijiji but no luck so far.
  5. Lost a bait caster rod and reel last night at the parking lot in port Severn last night. If anybody has any information that can lead to help finding it please let me know and I will offer a significant cash reward. Thanks for any help.
  6. Selling 6" finbore uaed a handful of times $65. Located in Newmarket.
  7. Jacobs had them a couple weeks ago, not sure about number but I would give them a shot if they are on your way. Otherwise I have not seen any except for the stores in the gta, (angling specialties or true canadian outdoors).
  8. Was in the Markham location a few days ago, no sale that I seen and couldnt find anything I needed lol.
  9. Thanks for the suggestions guys! Ended up purchasing the g3's from sail after all. Checked kijiji but the few on there wanted over $500, id rather spend the extra $100 and get new. I did find somebody selling g4z waders for $550 on kijiji but they have had leaks patched already and have a little leak that causes a damp spot by the words of the seller, didnt want to take the chance. Also purchased a new float rod, raven rv9 lol good price and it was the last one in stock. Now the search for boots starts haha, gonna wait for a sale for those, cheapies will have to do for now.
  10. Thanks for the quick replies everyone! Looks like the majority agrees that they are worth it. Going to see if I can find a deal online and visit a couple stores today, $650 is very steep imo but if they are going to last 5 or more years its the same as buying a cheap pair every year.
  11. Hey guys, have been buying neoprene waders every year and they leak after a few trips I find, getting really annoying at this point and with the water getting colder its getting pretty annoying to say at the least! Considering getting the simms g3 waders, just a question for anybody that owns these, are they worth the money? Also where is the best place to purchase them, I find everywhere they are around $650, sail has 15% off so basically just saving tax, was told this is pretty much the best deal I will get for these waders, is this true or should I wait a little? Any suggestions appreciated!
  12. It ended on the 8th and saids on the link only in midland store....
  13. Thanks for the info! Ended up grabbing the MGL, found a nice deal for 320 shipping in, cant wait to try it out in a couple weeks! Now to find a good sale on a loomis to pair it up with lol.
  14. Thanks for the suggestions! Im thinking mgl, what about a reel for chucking spinnerbaits and jerkabits, would the mgl work too or is there a better reel out there for that kind of fishing? Also does anyone know how a megabass viola would conpare to an Mgl?
  15. Thanks for the quick replies guys, much appreciated! I now am looking at the mgl which I could get for $350, the dc has also crossed my mind now, thoughts on the mgl vs dc? Are tye megabass reels worth the money or just overkill, specifically the ip68?
  16. Hey guys, I am considering upgrading my gear right now and am looking at a baitcasting reel around $450-$500 max. I have looked at the shimano antares, meggabass ip68 viola, shimano aldebaran and a few others, just wanted to hear your suggestions for a high quality reel and best bang for my buck, I am quite set on getting something JDM so made in china is not preffered. This reel will be used mainly for frog fishing, maybe tossing some jigs and senkos the odd time. I appreciate any advice you can give!
  17. cranks and jerkbaits right before sunset or bottom bouncing minnows.
  18. smoke, bake, fry, bbq, everything haha. I love smoking them but the rest of my family are not fans of smoked fish, so we prepare them different ways.
  19. Appreciate the kind words guys, was a really fun outing.
  20. Since the rivers are blown, I decided to go for some whities again, probably gonna be my last ice outing next weekend with the warm weather coming in later and a whitie slayfest off the boat to follow! Nothing like a limit of whities on a northern lake in the warm weather!
