I voted for the Harris government based on the fact they promised to put the money from fishing licences back into conservation instead of the general treasury.
Smallmouth, Largemouth and a pike for me. Hope to expand that list in a few weeks. Only started fishing again in August so I've had a late start and it's time to catch up
I'm hoping to get out to Merland in the last weekend of October, I'll let you guys know how the fishing is. I've never been there but from some of the things I've read about it here I've been convinced to go
Aren't carp bad for a Lakes eco-system? My understanding is they have very aggressive spawning habits and tend to destroy habitat that other fish use. Judging by the size and quantity of them don't they count as an invasive species or is it just asian carp that cause these issues?
I'm upset they aren't showing the Clay Guida fight on TV. The lightweights are exciting and his last match was awesome.
The ST Pierre fight should be good as long as Koscheck doesn't start with his "Lay and Pray" smothering when St Pierre threatens him.
Did you do a steady retrieve or did you change speeds? Sometimes if you stop your retrieval and let the plastic sink for a couple of seconds the bass will hit.
I think Couture will take it. He is good against other wrestlers and while Gonzaga showed his striking skills last match he is still a wrestler first.
St. Pierre should beat Koscheck if he got his act together and started training harder and cut his partying down.
Joe Stevenson is an up and coming star and will take this match and should get a shot at Sherk's vacated belt. I was training a bit with Stevenson when he was in town about a month ago and this kid is good.
Grove should beat Cote. Cote has all the skills but never has been able to put it together when it mattered.
Huerta should have no trouble in his match.
Those are my picks but with all the upsets lately I could be wrong on every single one
Probably won't take the 9.9 up there. We'll just drive around and see if I can find a rental place on the other side.
I'm thinking about using a weedless presentation though, would that be a good idea?
I don't think it's the wind direction itself but the weather that the wind direction usually indicates as wind and weather patterns usually go hand in hand. Just my own personal theory.
I think it's a pretty good general guide.
East winds usually mean a cold front is passing through.
North winds mean the cold front passed and the fish usually hibernate.
South winds mean warm yet unsettled weather so the fish should be biting.
West winds mean fair and settled weather so the fishing should be good.
There's a rumor going around that I should be fishing weedless Thanks for the advice guys, maybe I'll try the other side of the lake any boat rentals around there?
Looks to be nice weather Sunday so me and my buddy will be heading to Port Perry Marina to rent a boat. I'll be fishing for Walleyes and Ski's and he'll be going for bass. This ought to be interesting Hope to get some pics this time. Anyone have any advice for fishing near the marina?
After that I'm heading with the Fiancee to Elmhirst next weekend for some Rice Lake Bassing. Should be a fun couple of weeks.
I just got back into fishing. When I was in my mid-teens I was obsessed too, then I grew older and moved on to other things. Now I'm back and so is the obsession
