  1. I've been lucky with Yellow/Black combinations with a colorado blade.
  2. Thanks Guys. If I don't get skunked I'll have a full report for ya
  3. Looks like a good day. That walleye looks pretty tasty!
  4. Great news! I was hoping you guys would get one, you certainly put in enough effort
  5. LOL! After battling the weeds, wind and low water levels on Scugog on Saturday without even a nibble I tend to agree with you Just kidding. Nice Muskie, gives me hope that there is life in the Gog!
  6. Hey all, since the weather looks to be nice tomorrow I was thinking about hitting up the islands for some Bass. Should I head to Ward's Island or stick to the main centre island? I've never fished down their before, I was thinking of just walking around looking for some boat docks and throwing some mepps or some spinner baits to see if I can pull out any bucketmouths or maybe even a pike. All tips are appreciated I'll have my report wednesday with some pics of my catch (Hopefully)
  7. Congrats CCMT, you seem to have the touch for Salmon. Kills my confidence though as I get skunked night after night throwing spoons
  8. Damn saw this thread too late. I actually picked Jardine over Liddell. Liddell is awful against strikers and he showed it again last night. Jardine dominated with leg kicks which slowed down Chukcs Mobility in the ocatagon. Good fight. Forrest over Shogun. This was a shocker! I thought no way in hell could Forrest beat him but I was wrong. Shogun completely gassed and Forrest RNC'd him which looked rally bad on Shogun. I still need to watch the rest of the fights as I was out last night and ended up taping it.
  9. That's some strong line you got on there if it brought that thing up!
  10. It was milting all over the place. Kind of gross
  11. Hi Terry, I agree with you that it is the responsibility of the MNR and Government's job to maintain the ecosystem. The problem is that the government only seems interested in maximizing profit and slashing budgets to MNR. Organizations like OFAH (Made up of everyday fisherman) have recently become more responsible for helping our fisheries with their stocking programs and conservation efforts. While I don't agree with vigilante justice I do agree with the fact that as fisherman we have a responsibility to protect our sport, whether this is through education or whether it is through support of organizations such as OFAH. We can't sit back as Anglers and rely on our government to help us out because if we did then our fisherie will be gone.
  12. I just bought a true Trax extendable from Canadian tire. I was thinking of just buying a rubberized replacment mesh and putting it on.
  13. It was a nice Salmon, I would say ten minutes to come in. NOthing for me this time only a few bites but Mooseroos catch was more then enough excitement(I got to be the net attendant). Here's a pic of me with Moose's catch.
  14. I was just taking the subway past that area. Lots of smoke.
  15. I have a confession to make, I raided those on Sunday Sorry, they're just really hard to find so I take them when I find them.
  16. Cleos worked for me.
  17. You’ll feel the bite, drop your rod tip toward the fish, and rear back to "cross its eyes"
  18. Make sure your hooks are sharp. Buy a hook sharpening stone or tool and sharpen your cleos out of the box. Also sharpen after you get snagged or miss a fish. Make sure your hookset is hard! Don't be afraid to cross the eyes, this will set your hook deep. Keep some tension on the line at all times as slack will also free the hook. Hope this helps.
  19. At least you didn't get the skunk, some fish is better then no fish
  20. Sweet, good job!
  21. Good stuff.
  22. That's awful. My thoughts and prayers go out to Kareem and family.
  23. Good report. Nothing wrong with keeping a couple fish for the table!
