  1. kewlest thing is you can comb your hair staring at it just like a mirror. VERY NICE!
  2. 45 minutes..no calls. I feel like the last kid picked at dodgeball.
  3. Johnny Bass...it was a trick.. I wanted to fish your spots dude. You didn't take the bait!! i got some sick days coming with this weird strain of Eurasian Strepococucus I've caught from tans-atlantic ship ballast discharge in the Great Lakes.
  4. 15 minutes passed...no ringy on my phone. Must be all afraid of the speed?
  5. dude..im good for Sunday> Wife away for 10 days. call me.
  6. Hardcore smallmouth on Lake Simcoe tomorrow. I'm gonna be doing some running around so you must be good with 70 mph. First one to call 416 275-4452 to confirm is in. Launching from Sibbald Provincial Park 7am tomorow. You meet me there. Bring your own gear ( tubes, drop shots, blades, jerks) Your share expenses about $60.00
  7. Its year round to Eglinton now Brain. My advice is get as far south as Dundas as low water levels are slowing movement.
  8. Luhr-Jensen Hot Lips Express. Wanna give me one?? Top one is about 15 foot diver. They are real good to have. luhr-jensen
  9. Good job, I was through there from about noon until 2pm on Sunday and hooked 3 like yours in my boat. Just proves you can never catch them all.
  10. Check your PM for my special advice to you Nelson. These lakes are clear so artificial lures should be good replicas of the real thing. You can't beat an black yellow bucktail jig along cabbage weedbeds or a Rapala Shad Rap in Perch colour. Fluorcarbon line is worth the $$ in these situations. I always start FAST with horizontal lures like jerkbaits and crankbaits on rocky / sandy areas and only slow down if I'm not hooking up.
  11. The ones you mentioned are all good. Chesley probably best best. Tell us how you make out.
  12. Get yourself a battery classified as "GROUP 31". They are the largest by size and have most reserve minutes and cranking amps.
  13. Maybe you can do a raindance and get the river volume up to get these Salmon moving?
  14. Thanks. Its 40th Anniversary for Ranger. I absolutely love mine. Not the fastest but noone ever would argue about that its not the safest and comfortable ride out there.
  15. Nice job. I'm gonna take up drinking hard and sleeping in if thats the reward.
  16. Skill and location certainly are factors-but my EXPERIENCE tells me that I've never been hit as hard by Smallies as when I fish Gulp. They just hammer on it. It was part of a 100 hookup morning on a real calm day on Lake erie.
  17. I know they were made by Strike King and discontinued about a decade. I have several jars left myself and love them. Ebay is your best bet. Went by name "PORK O..."
  18. I've been drop shotting Leech and Smelt Minnows and they are awesome. Landed 22 Smallmouth on 1 bait before I had to retire it back into the tub for a recharge.
  19. Wow..thanks for the hints. Its gonna rock on my couple of spots tomorrow. Identical. Wifes gona be real happy. Got 3 days to pound on them!
  20. Thanks Hotel Tango. If your ever around these parts, drop me a line and I;ll get you out. I appreciate the sacrafices you and our Military does our all of us.
  21. When things get tough..the tough go fishing. Got out for a GREAT afternoon/evening bite because working just not doing it for me. Well the swimbait bait bite I've been working on is starting to happen. Focusing on sunken timber areas, we caught some NICE bass real fast. I have a return engagement on a REALLY BIG GIRL that I found tonite lurking on a deep point-this fish is as hefty as they get in Ontario. Ready to shot some video if it happens. Thanks to my wife Janice for great camera work today and all she does in the boat to keep up with me. She lost a monster on a branch today so I feel bad for her.
  22. hey dude..looks like MY water. hahaha. Nice job.
  23. Walleyes..2 patterns....weed..use bucktail jigs (deer hair-hopefully black/yellow) around weedlines in 10-14 feet or water or deeper rocky current areas (Gannons Narrows) with worm harness, jigs or crankbaits. Bass...find some deep shorelines (3 feet at shore is great) with overhanging trees or blown in slop and use weedless jigs or senkos. Really..you can beat these guys by getting up early and trying to get a good topwater bite. Anywhere a weedflat drops into deeper water will be good. Having the hydrographic charts for Buckhorm would really help. Personally..get yourself around SugarBush Island area.
  24. If you take up River Fishing in terms of chasing Salmon (September-November) and or Trout (October-April) which are migratory, the Humber River, Rouge, Duffins, Credit and great rivers in the GTA. If your determined on catching green and yellow fish, take a ferry ride to Toronto Island for Pike and Bass or try around Ontario Place. Good luck
