  3. Wow what a long wait for my favourite Steelhead River to get fishable this fall- BUT the wait yielded one of the greatest QUALITY days I can remember with NON STOP ACTION on WILD STEELHEAD all day long. You cant put a price on not seeing another soul but your fishing buddy over 2 miles of H2O, no garbage left behind by loogans, deer stopping to look us down and hundreds of Geese flying overhead. All fish caught floatfishing roe with 4-6lb flurocarbon tippet just about everywhere we had 3 feet of water or more. Pools, runs, bend, overhangs, undercuts, pockets-DIDN'T MATTER. Its gonna be a great 5 weeks of open season yet for 2007 and cashing in some lieu time to punish my elbow and shoulders some more. STAY TUNED for more reports. Enjoy the for the few minute run down of a great day. Caseys’ first bow of the day Marks First bow of the day Average Size all day long Hard to take PERFECTION!!

  5. Hi Keram- I can only assume that it was Scugog you were on as I was also doing a guide trip for 2 Bank Executives who bid on a day out for TD Securities Charity Auction I donated when I met up with the Marine Unit at 1240pm. I know the time cuz I was busted and its on my $125.00 ticket for "no signaling device'- as in whistle. MY FUTILE DEFENSE consisted of not taking my life jackets out which have whistles hanging of them but taking my floation suit out which didnt have one. Those life jackets were in the truck. The fact that my day generated $700 for Childrens Charities didn't help either. They were polite and doing their job and duly noted my defense in his log book and said if I choose to appear, just bring the whistle and my story should I choose to take the day off for court and he can ask for a withdrawl of charges. Well the fishing sucked until about 10:45 am where it lit up for 1 hour producing for my 2 guests first Muskies ever. One was 38 inches and the other 41. I was rewarded with a brief hookup on about a 40 incher that wrapped itself up in the line before swimmimg off and 4 Walleye clones at 18 inches. All skis on bucktail spinners real slow and Wallys on Gulp Minnow Grub on 3/8 oz jighead dragged (Yellow) in 18 feet. Water temps hovering at 36. The docks have been pulled at Port Perry launch making it tricky to launch to say the least. Tommorrow is Erie at Port Colborne (with my whistle) and hopefully some monster Smallmouth.
  6. Answer is D. Loaded with Northerns at the right time.
  7. Fish-Fin-atic-welcome to a board that cares a little more. Im Chrominator13 on the FLS board. It seems that the date of the next Meet & Greet is more important then access to this lake. I will make the most of the bank holiday on November 12th by fishing in the morning then attending the Council meeting in the evening. I've received 4 letters from members here to date.
  8. The plot thickens.... I've been informed that this Wharf was "downloaded" about ten years ago by the Federal Government to Georgina Township, who now can do as they see fit. SO...........we've all paid federal taxes for the upkeep of this wharf for well over 100 years and this council and jurisdiction is going to reap huge financial gain. JUST FN WRONG!! I just have engaged OFAH on this as well as they have access to legal resources on these type of issues.
  9. Thanks Mooseroo for taking the time to show some concern on this issue. I certainly will be using your letter as a template. Im not local to Georgina and given the state of affairs I'm hearing about ( no boat trailer/ atv laws in your driveway), never will be. I remember hearing the horror stories from the individuals that bring the ICE FISHING CONTEST to Keswick yearly in dealing with that Council. They blow sugar on you one minute to host the event, then have local Gestapo hand out 3,000 parking tickets @ $30 to the participants. I do spend an hour and half getting to Lady Simcoe and leave my share of loot over 30 days I spend on average up there annually. It will more then likely be a condo development. So if people out here care about this, I will cover the cost of the stamp if you Private Message me with your letter of oppsition to this loss of public access. I will then print and forward them off to the pencil pushers.
  10. This is becoming a trend in Georgina Township over the last while. This has been a traditional access point to ice anglers and a great place to take a child fishing from shore. I cant put to words how ticked I am. Just this spring several public parking spots were eliminated at Jacksons Point by the same Town Council and the owner of the Marina ( a relative of someone on Council) given the ability to charge for those spots.
  11. Credit card...seriously..and about $200 cash. Gets ya gas, tow or bait
  12. 05 Ranger 520VX- 225 Evinrude H.O A comfortable 68-72 mph when off trailer.
  13. Sheepshead as Ive seen that happen around there before.
  14. Went solo GB so no pics and I don't shoot them laying in the mud either. Just got off the phone with CO and they are following up.
  15. I wish the video was working on camera as I said because all speculation would be set aside. And, there is another concerned citizen who was not an angler provided contact info and will serve as witness. I hope this doesn't become the white bucket thing because its not my intent.
  16. Well it was a nice morning to take a few drifts close to home at the Humber River. landed 2 nice Brown Trout both about 6 pounds and released along with 4 Chinook. My day soon went for dump when I witnessed two folks SPEARING Salmon just upstream of me with a pitchfork type lawn instrument. The guy kept 2 fish inside of 5 minutes and left. It was also the day the movie function on my camera didn't seem to work. I and an independent other party watched it all go down in front of us from above hidden in some trees. I have still photos of the 2 culprits here and have notified all authorities. It will be my 3rd time being involved with these types of crimes as a witness. Evidence I wish one day the respect for all wildlife can be better entrenched in our laws and better education be available.
  17. Lew, many years ago I recall reading about a Sonic Pike Barrier installed around Canal Lake that repels Pike migration further into Kawarthas. I tried to Google this but get nothing. Any MNR /Fleming types around to elaborate?
  18. Oh yah..looks like Triton 186/196, around 2002> With a 175/200 Merc, I'd say $11,000.
  19. Done the trip to Richmond, Virginia about a dozen times in last 3 years. Best advice I can get give you is be wary of rush-hour traffic or accidents around Washington-DC. Toronto to DC just cooking it I've seen in 9 hours. Worst was 3 hours to go 100 kms just south of Washington. Below is the best route I've seen as I've tried a few others which put me thru some one-horse towns. May the force be with you. 20. ITS A SCAM. Basically the are looking to get you out of ebay for the transaction and get funds wired via Western Union or something like that. All they are old adds at cheap prces. Being done with Lowrance GPS units, most high ticket items.
  21. Congrats ICEDUDE...didn't realize that was you. I think there is an opportunity for name tags with these handles we start to get known by to be worn at these type of events. Keep in touch. Mark
  22. Wish the wind didn't show itself today. Managed to pocket $200 for 4th place finish with 8.35 pounds. Third @ 8.50, 2nd- OLDPHART & SLUG with 10.70. BIG congrats to Greg Klatt and partner 13 plus pounds. OLDPHART also took BIG PERCH money...beat me by a crawfish or two. Thanks to SLYATV for getting someone out of a dead sleep with 20 minutes before takeoff and into my boat with 10 seconds to spare. Greg was a hoot to fish with. Don from ICEGUIDEZ and Rock Madsen (MR.FISH CRISP) must be THANKED LARGE for putting on an event that paid 100% back to the guys!! All keep fish caught on drop shot GULP 3 inch shiners out of 45-60 feet of water.
  23. Nice going Brian. For those of that are inept, post the pictures of the GPS with the digits. Great Going.
  24. Good going Steve. Had my thoughts about going up there.
  25. Well when you get a 5 pound Smallmouth on your first cast of the morning about 730, 2 things can happen. Either you keep crossing their eyes or they will frustrate to death. IM FRUSTRATED for sure now. Other then a couple bumps and follows to the boat and visting about a dozen areas that should have had produced- NADA! Worked areas from 6 foot shoals to deep into 35 feet. The most consistent hook marking in about 25 FOW. Talked to at least 5 other tourney guys and the results were almost carbon copies of our day. Fish bit a Lucky Craft suspending jerkbait in Bone colour on 8 foot rock pile. TbayBoy was great company out there today and kept me from slitting my wrists. On the positive side...found some REALLY NICE Jumbo Perch that we put a whopping to. Largest 5 at 12 inches and really fat. Got myself a small feed tonite. I will be fishing the Rocky Madsen Perch event tomorrow out of Sibbald P.P with what we found. Schools are 7 feet thick in some areas. Focus on 28-35 FOW out from Pefferlaw if your going out. TbayBoy will have some pictures up soon I hope. I need some sleep and ice for my elbow. Take care. MARK
