You can catch them with a minnow trap as well. A hung of fish meat and put it in a rocky area and check in the morning (crayfish are much more active at night).

Well.. When I was 2 my grandfather was taking me out fishing. Caught my first fish on Moira Lake. A pike, I was told, at the age of 2 1/2. I still have many memories of Moira and Stony Lakes where my grandfather and I would spend lots of time fishing. The trips were something I looked forward to all year. Skip ahead several years and I am living in Niagara Falls. I would fish the Whirlpool nearly every day. Always fish in there. Nothing more than a 7 ft Ugly Stick I got when I was 13 (and still have) and we would tie into salmon after salmon in the hey days of the 80's when 20 fish days were normal. Now I doubt I could make the trip up those stairs...I used to run up them! Since those days I've been busy in all aspects of fishing. More of a walleye chaser now (thats a walleye in my avatar). Caught shark and cuda in Florida....thats a total blast. I joined the old old board in 2001 or 2002 can't remember. I was a total newb tho.I was kinda fascinated by the whole interweeb and got into it a bit. Took a few classes and taught myself the rest.

I think Gerritt was bugging TJ to go php about 5 years ago and then I started on him about 2 years ago too, so there was a real team effort to get TJ into the 21st Century.

Only mods can delete threads. We had a few people abusing the 'delete your own post' option and it kinda created havoc.

We just got the server back where the files were stored, so it is a matter of re-inputting the data. I didn't have a copy on my computer (yes that was dumb) and I had split the info over two servers thinking it would be safer that way. Turns out it wasn't. I'll be done all of this stuff in a day or two so we can fix up the stats. With this new board, next year the captains will do their own stats. Big plus for everyone. Not having to wait for me is likely the best part of that.

Theres a few things.. In your post, below your name and stuff, there is a button that says On! Means you are online. It says Off if you are not. Look in the list at the bottom of the page to see who is online as well. You can click on Last Viewed to see exactly where that person was. The name was red on the old site only cause you had viewed that persons profile recently and the links you had clicked on during that session were all red. I will be making a few CSS adjustments...I'm not happy with the current a:link colors, so I will likely switch the a:visited color as well. Maybe a burgundy for links and a reddy purple for visited.

No you can't put 31 inch pics here. You'll need to resize them to something like 800px X 600 px. Try using either Irfan View or Gimp software to edit your pics. Both are free. Cameras usually come with some software that will do this for you, but if not, Google for the two programs mentioned. Ideally, a pic for the internet doesn't need to be over 100K in file size when 800px wide, unless special color adjustments are made.

Lew.. In Internet Explorer, Go to Tools>Internet Options>Accessibility and tick 'Ignore Font Size', this allows you to select the text size with the mouse or the CTRL +/-

Okay..PM's for post recovery was a bad idea. My fault. Lets have anyone needing this done make a post here. Put in your username now (the one you log in with) and how many posts you had at proboards. As we get to them we will delete your response. We do need you to check your old post count though. It may take awhile. There is no prize for first place.

Well our first day in the new house and nothing caught fire or blew up. That's pretty much how I measure success We set records all over the place. Just a titch under 60,000 page views...and around 3.0 Gb of data was transfered. 196 people on line at once! That is crazy! I may have been a little short with people. I'm sorry for that. No excuses. We were kinda stressed today. We are slowly catching up on all the post transfer requests, so please be patient. It is likely that some got lost or overlooked in the chaos. When we have gone through all the PM's (I had over 100) we'll make a sticky for those who were forgot. We added Spell Check today and a weather module. The weather module is kinda sucky..but it was free. What I will do when I have more time is put in live satellite, radar and wind speed maps of MOST of Ontario. I haven't seen a view yet that covers the whole province, but I'll see if I can find zoomable ones. Now, if you'd like to see more features added, just ask. If it is possible, we will try and do it. I got to chat with old friends in the chat room and made some new ones. And that's what this is all about! Enjoy and keep checking back for some really cool prizes and contests.
