Invasive Carp....................Finally Some Good News.
leaf4 replied to DRIFTER_016's topic in General Discussion
I was watching a show on tv earlier I believe it was called big fish or something of the like, it was a marine scientist and he was going through lake systems that have been affected by the carp of multiple species bighead, silver ,asian etc and they showed a massive culling of the jumping carp with a derby, one boat netted 150 in an hour and a bit, they ended up with a huge amount from all involved, good idea but I would hate to see it get like that around here. -
I work in sheet metal and prior to you posting 28/29 ga. I was assuming 26 would be the metal used, I do agree with you that 29 ga is garbage, some suppliers make 30 gauge pipe and it's like tin foil, good info here for myself in the future though!

Bought a boat! Looking for advice on trolling motor
leaf4 replied to fishnguy's topic in General Discussion
Personal preference here, but minn kota, the girlfriends father has a motor guide and it does the trick but can be a nuisance especially when your foot pedal batteries decide to die on you with no warning lol. also the pedal doesn't have an option to plug into a 12v or anything to run off of that instead of the batteries once they are dead -
the dead things came out firing on all cylinders tonight! hopefully their big Z is healthy

Need a bit of help with the front mount trolling motor
leaf4 replied to davey buoy's topic in General Discussion
these ones do not require a spring they are snap toggles and hold themselves in place once snapped in and there is excess plastic parts you then dispose of -
doh, missed that lol it happens when they are both out of market lol

If you wanna cheer on Canada, why not pick by amount of Canadians on the teams? The team with the most Canadians? Colorado with18, Dallas has 16 and Philadelphia 15 Let's go Colorado!! But I'm secretly hoping San Jose wins it, with a St. Louis vs. San Jose final

+1 for the toggles, they are plenty strong. if you don't mind drilling a 1/2" hole or 4. I've used them in a number of instances around the house and at work using them to hang runs of duct in certain situations where it was necessary to hang off drywall and they worked flawlessly. http://www.toggler.com/products/snaptoggle/overview.php also I did a quick search on my Home Depot app, all I could find was a hilti product, very expensive these ones will do the trick and are cheaper, available at Lowes -

awesome thanks I'll have to keep them in mind if something happens, I've been told by a few people that a lot of the parts are able to be used off of weed wackers & other small engines, so that could be helpful lol. and it only weighs12 pounds! great little motor for the price I got it for they were also made in 2.7 and I think a 4.5, kinda noisy but it'll do the job

Hey everyone, looking for some info on parts for a cruise n carry 1.2hp outboard, I just picked mine up and if something were to go wrong and need replacing, other than eBay I wouldn't have an idea as to where to look, as usual any input would be greatly appreciated thanks! also I'm from hamilton so anything local would be a plus! gleason is getting paid way too much for what he brings, I like his game, but not at 4mill a season, maybe 2. I wouldn't want them to trade Kadri but if the right deal comes up then maybe, I also like Kulemin but he is also making too much for what he brings, he cashed in on a single year 30 goals and he's making 3 mill a season and will probably want a raise now that he will be a UFA. I like Mcclement, but only on the penalty kill and d zone starts, he's basically useless past the red line. Gunnarsonn doesn't bring enough to the table to warrant being a 1st line pairing so maybe if he wasn't getting 3.5mill a year and they could find a true #1 to play with phaneuf then he could stay.

I'm actually glad this happened, cause Tim liewieke is a guy who will take charge and make change, cya later franson, ranger, orr probably mcclement, gleason, gunnarsonn Kulemin, maybe Kadri if they can get what they want for him and if they could get bolland to stay and clarkson to either produce or find a way to trade him these would all be expendable players, I would like them to pick up Paul Stasny in the off season but at what price would that be is the big question. Getting mason Raymond back at a decent price 2-2.5/year would be a good signing too, and to get komarov back would be great, but probably a pipe dream I also think and I know a lot of guys won't agree with it but make Kessel captain at least assistant, he carries this team on his back every night and takes the blame even though it's not his to take he rarely makes big blunders and is the person this organization is going to be looking at for most of the offense for the next 8 years and maybe more, he's still young now 25/26 even into his thirties if his scoring dips, he is an accomplished playmaker as well, to go with that he's shown many times through his tenure in toronto as a non selfish player such as ovechkin, huge plus in my books. http://m.theglobeandmail.com/sports/hockey/leafs-beat/phil-kessel-takes-ownership-of-leafs-collapse/article17893101/?service=mobile

Mine would do the same, but mine was also ancient, I ended up just disconnecting it because my tenants are too dumb to look before opening or closing the door

Need info about fishing at Welland River with Kayak
leaf4 replied to canliq's topic in General Discussion
if you download the U find fish app, it's actually released by Italo and you can use the "ask a pro" option and get personal feedback from him, I was at the stelco fishing meeting this past Friday and he actually spoke at length about the welland canal, the app also has "pro hot spots" though they are sort of all over the place and I'm not sure about any on the canal, good luck!
