Beauti, Would of liked to have seen that hookset though. If it was me I would of flipped that canoe the way I set the hook in the junk there. I nearly throw my partner out of a 20ft bass boat. Interesting tidbit, I know exactly where you are in the pic. I released a fish identical to that one about 2 weeks ago there, I got him under a tree. Can't be 100% sure, but nice to think C&R of big fish success.

A trick for the "tube" anglers. Stuff a small piece of "sponge" in your tube. Hold it upside down and pinch it, then drip your scent into the tube and let it soak in. For texas riggin reg. 3" tubes - 2/0 or 3/0 widegap hooks are ideal.

You nailed it Right on the NOSE. In a couple weeks the super shallows are a blast at night. Quite common to smack walleye in the pads and slop throughout the open water season. Feeding on Craws and frogs. Just don't lip'm, if you can't see'm.

Nice fish! Used to guide night trips on Simcoe, no matter how many you catch it still scares the livin crap out of ya when they smash it boat side. Pop r's - Chug Bugs (especially the longer ones/saltwater)my go to - Zara spooks fulll size - Lucky craft Sammies - Full size Heddon Torpedos are all sure bets on Simcoe after dusk.

Dropshotting for the most part is a "finesse" technique. Perfect for deep water and spooky/dormant fish. Sure you can dropshot while wading, but not using the "ideal" dropshottng technique by the definition. You would have to cast the bait out away from you and bring it back. Actually a technique I use quite often.

Big boys buy into the millions with a distributor therefore they get better pricing. The profit margin is usually the same between the bigs and littles +/- a little. There is something to be said for the $5 difference though, pretty hard to put a value on experienced advice and guidance from those who truly care about their business. Tightlines has always been my favorite for over 20yrs now. My bro and I still joke about the time I went to BPS and asked where the keel weights were and the guy walked me over to the anchors.

Tie yourself to a pole outside today in 29 degree temps and run as hard for your life as you can for 5 mintues. Then have a nap for a couple minutes in an oven while holding your breath.

You've been fortunate depending on the true value of the items you are importing. It's hit and miss. I have shipped and recieved packages into the thousands now and always mark truthfully and ask the ones I import to be aswell. As long as you learn the import amounts allowed and stay with-in them your ok. I have had customs open a few packages marked sample/other etc.. and assess an estimated value to it. Along with the duty/taxes. They re-seal it with yellow tape along with a letter explaining there actions. I am sure there is a way to appeal, but for the amount of times and money it's happened, I've never looked into it.

Depends on how they mark the parcel i.e. "Gift" or "lesser value" . I order alot from the US, some get by, some do not. It only takes a few packages through customs from them before they get flagged if they mark the customs tags like above. Soon enough there will be a 100% Canadian ecommerce site where "duty" suprises won't be an issue. Including Bandit baits and other hard to find stuff, run by those in the know.....

Wish I could view the strike as a chance to hit the ponds rod in hand, but with a young family and one income, I am stuck looking for someway to make ends meet. Sure would be nice to know sooner then 12:01 am Monday morning if I will be making money that day or not. Anyone looking for consulting on the Kawarthas or Lake O by chance?
