  1. I recieved a form letter from my MP when I asked for a response from her. All I got from the letter was she was going with the flow.

This is the 2nd form letter I have got from her on two different inquiries.

For the simple fact she sent another form letter Ms Oda will not get a sinlge vote from my household again.

  2. As much as I love a hot bright Chromer I also love a good colored up fish thier rainbow colors can get spectacular in the fall a much nicer hue then in the spring in my opinion, I never really thought about it until someone mentioned it, but this is a truely magazine quality shot in my opinion

I agree !00%, fall is tops in my books. Beauty shot!

  3. Shorelunch, too many variables, numbers on results do not tell the whole story.

    1. boat could of broke down

    2. too ROUGH to get to their water (this time of year fish are sparsely placed, take a week to find one quality pod of them to win)

    3. small amount of weight, didn't weigh in.

    4. super tough fishing

    5. plain ole badluck

Good call Roy. but we are talking about JP :D

I wager becasue Mercer was hosting and JP was fizzing they got in early if they didn't have a big bag.

    But, atleast they tried.

  4. I fished this years past, but missed it this year. I hear it was a super tough fish and a really hard day on both the boats and bodies in them.

  5. Jim, if you like one particular lake (like Rice) well enough, have you checked out availability and what it might cost for a trailer in a campground on that lake?

Might be a cheaper alternative to owning a cottage and give you most everything you want?

    Just a thought.

There are some pretty good deals right now, perfect timing to get a trailer. I am looking too, but not on Rice.

    Great input Jocko.

  6. Wherever you choose, make sure your home is not west of your work. You'll have sun in your eyes for the drive to work and the drive home. Just thought I'd throw that out there for the folks who don't own sunglasses.

    Solid call Roy.

Lots of areas east of TO, not too far of a commute. I live at the gateway to cottage country and travel to the big smoke everyday. It's a trade off, but I am content being close to awesome fishing minutes from home.

I have co-workers who live closer to TO and some within the city who have the same commute time wise as me.

  7. Nothing is more disappointing than finally dragging in a 30 lb wad of weeds/roots/slop, netting it on to the deck of your boat and sifting through it to find out she's not there anymore but you still have 30 lbs of junk to clear off your deck. lol

HAHA Charles, been there, done that.

Solid advice on frog fishing in this thread, especially from a couple gents I personally know are exceptional at it ( JP and Nahmer).

Talk about knocking the learning curve down for newbies.

  8. Radnine, I recommend you buy the trollers Bible titled "Precision Trolling"

As for the Rap question, I run a 3 way rig, but instead of a pencil weight or walker I use split shots. If you get hung up they will slip off and it is also easier to switch up the weighting.

My favourite Raps for this are Huskys.

  9. Could you imagine if they "DID" have a wicked hockey team.... the teachers would get a pension waiver and retire at 45 with all the swag they would sell.

I saw a guy this morning with new Leafs Jacket on that said "13 time Stanley Cup Winners", I couldn't help but joke that the manufacturer signed a 10 year deal to make those jackets, cause it's not going to change anytime soon.

  10. I get my fix from Minor Hockey these days. Much more entertaining and you don't have to watch a bunch of overpaid underachievers skating around for 60 minutes just going through the motions................

I hear ya John, I started following OHL more last year aswell.

Hey the overpaid underachievers can have good games, especially near contract time and if their parents or a new "flame" are at the rink.

  11. I did the exact same thing a few years ago for my groomsmen.

I got a charter out of Playa Del Carmen, to me, it sucked. Never caught a fish, well one small mackeral. At one point the guides started going nuts and yelling in spanish to each other, so I think there might of been one marlin around. It was quite expensive. Afterwards we were hearing we would of been better off fishing off of Cozumel. A short ferry across from Playa. Probably the same price, but better fishing I hear.
