No doubt, Christmas vacation, mainly because of Cousin "Pooper was full" Eddie (his character inspired 2 halloween costumes for me) and the rant by Clark about his boss.
John Hughes was a genius.

A no brainer Jim! A big rouge wave on Erie that fills you to the brim.... level floatation will be the difference between staying with craft and swimming (or drowning)
I am with Wayne, no brainer.
Had a tracker and split the hull on Simcoe, got ourselves to shore luckily (with help from the good ole Merc) we were full of water but atleast level.

Hey Lew, that loft is perfect for a poker G2G followed by an icefish for giant panies within a baseball throw from your front door! Just putting it out there...
-
Holy smokes, what a cutie.
Dogs sweet too.
-
You and the miss' deserve it. Offers still on the table for east york!
If I do the calculatons, I can retire 2033, plus 9 years.....huh, only 'bout 32 years left for me in the big smoke if things stay status quo.

Hey Steve, glad to see things are going good for you. Beautiful family.
You FFF, Former generously proportioned.

Quite the offer Cliff, free storage, excellent access and help pulling on and off the ice. Pretty solid deal for someone looking to have a hut and simply fish out of it.
I am pretty sure whoever takes you up on this would supply everything including the gas for the machine.

Thanks TJ on behalf of Maureen and I for allowing us in your newsletter. And thank you to those who like the Toon!
Sometimes when you are thinking of a character certains folks pop in your brain and they are simply a perfect fit!

Hence, frog cross with no effort..but can be challenging steelhead water.
-
I love how your wrote "stealhead season" it's maybe mid season! lol
Maybe I'll PM you, if ya don't mind.

I don't know how you do it Solo. I miss that area, too far now I am married with kids. But hey, she's got her hair done recently, that's atleast worth the drive. Good show, man I miss it.

Oh man.. killer to read this around lunch time!!
I am almost out of my Moose sausage already.... my absolute fave from the butcher we use anyways... Ok, I gotta get some street meat now.

Yep, good enough for me. But I'd probably spud out to be safe with first ice. Is it spring fed?

Been closed since 2001...
I think it was quite a bit before that, not sure of exact date. If I remember it was right around the time they found the body of that poor guy the robbers of Gagnons Sports killed and dumped by the access to the nuke. Kenneth Thomas was his name I believe.
Too bad it was an awesome place to fish with no boat.
However Squid, there is water access for boats right now!

If your still not 100% I can carry you in....as long as Phil can carry us BOTH out
You guys wanna go for a beer instead? But NOT in Bowmanville!
-
They say 'tween 25 and 35cms tomorrow for us.
Powered up the snow thrower on the weekend....it started and runs great. Now let's just hope that J is not too tired to use it.
Geeze Roy..
I see why J does it, can be tough to see over the snow piles for some folks
-
Hmm, I am not sure what to do now, I live in Bowmanville and frequent both pubs mentioned on occasion. I never drive after a couple pops, maybe now I should never walk. Maybe I'll just have to get Scotty to beam me up.
-
That sounds a like a good time Phil, we'll see how I'm doing late in the ice season.
Just fire me a PM when you want to. Was talkin with crappieperchhunter too, we could all get out. And close to home.
-
Some guys go small for them, we on the other hand go large...we jig with NK Mags...and hold on!
Now that would be something! If only Lake O would freeze over.

Hey Dara, a friend of mine has a real nice rod "case" I guess you could say. Same design as a gun cabniet, except wood with a glass door. The top part has a shelf with a light where he puts the reels. Looks really sharp.
-
Loving the levelwind too Spiel! Especially in the winter when a pin has a tendency to freeze to your pinky!
-
That's a pretty good deal for the Lund.
Too far??? 2 and a half hours and you'd have the boat on your hitch heading home.
Commonly drive from Bowmanville to Queenston, fish for a few hours and home for dinner.

Dang boss you must be hittin' those cialis and rye cocktails again..
John!
Teej, you are one of the fairest folks around. I know.
Well written response Rick.

Great fish EHG, it wasn't an alumacraft that pulled you in was it? Was out for a few hours too, she's on.
