  1. Has anyone been to this resort before? I'll be there this weekend, and am wondering if I should bring my boat with me? How's the fishing? Are there crappie/walleye around? Is there anything in the water to look out for? I have a GPS unit in the boat, but want to see if there's anything that isnt listed on those maps. Any help is much appreciated! *Stoty
  2. Hahaha, thanks Limey!
  3. Ha ha ha, too bad my EI runs out end of June!

    Hey Joey!

Happy Birthday "Captain"! Hope you have a great day!
  5. Actually...got screwed over by a local company here in Port Hope again! He used me for 2 projects he needed to get done, then boom...got the boot! So, I'm back to looking for something yet again! I think I am going to go back to school actually, for Firefighting in January though. A nice STABLE career!
  6. Here are my first reports from my new Ranger! Quinte Opener (Tourny) My partner Colin and I hit up the annual Bay of Quinte opening weekend tournament to test our luck/skills against those Walleye. It was a pretty slow weekend, but ended up with a PIG of a fish! 8.42 lbs, good enough to give us a top 20 finish in the tournament. Fish was caught on a Lunkerhunt - Goby - 6" - pearl white in 8 feet of water. If you haven't had a chance to try these Lunkerhunt baits...head to CT and pick up a pack! We found a TINY underwater point that went from 6 feet to 8 feet and the fish were stacked on it! We caught 5 pike and the massive walleye all from the same spot! Thank god for GPS units! We would have never been able to find that spot again if it wasnt for the GPS! The picture of the fish doesnt do it any justice...it was a PIG! Yesterday my dad and I finally got out together to try some Rice Lake Walleye action. This was the first time in a few years we have found the time to get out together. so it was a very nice morning! (I did outfish him, which made my morning even better! haha) With the overnight cold front that came through...not much was happening, but managed to get one bite. It was a nice fish that HAMMERED a black bucktail jig along a weedline. Around 3 lbs. Tasted great for dinner last night! Cheers, *Stoty
  7. Yes, I am doing tournaments this year! Probably going to do the whole Bassmaina circuit and BM100 circuit! Yes, they sure have. So far 2009 has brought me a new: (in no particular order, lol) - boat - truck - woman - house It's about time that I can admit that I am finally "happy". Thanks everyone for the nice words! Much appreciated.
  8. Here is my rig for the next little while! 2005 Chevy Avalanche - Fully loaded 2006 Ranger 175vs - Fully loaded If any fellow OFC'ers see me, please be sure to come say hi! *Stoty
  9. As long as the fish is released (in a timely manner), who really cares if you take the extra 10 seconds (literally) to take a picture?? Heck, trying to keep the fish in the water to unhook it, for lots of people, would actually take longer and do MORE harm than bringing it into the boat, unhook, picture, and release.
  10. Nope, 4th sat in June everywhere
  11. As long as the fish are released.....not a huge deal.
  12. I'm gonna pretend you didnt say that! Because I sure hope you're not comparing a "sport" like baseball to hockey!
  13. Ya, I figured trolling was the best option for the Bay. How deep are they right now? Shouldnt they be a little shallower than normal right now? 10-15 ft? Thanks for the tip!
  14. HA! I was pretty happy 2 seasons ago, when my buddy and I in a 16ft aluminum with a 30, WHOOOPED them in a bass tournament on Rice Lake, while they were in their big fancy 21ft, with a 225.
  15. BLOWN OUT! High/fast/brown! At least the Ganny is.
  16. CHI in 7 PIT in 7 BOS in 5 DET in 5 No one will touch the Wings, yet again this year!
  17. I'm heading there for the weekend as well. Also in the derby. First time fishing quinte on the softwater...so hopefully we get into some fish! Top 10 prize would also be nice! If anyone see's two young guys in a Blue ranger with "Lunkerhunt" stickers on the windshield....give me a holler!
  18. Disappointing! Only ended up with 1 day on the water, due to the wind. Biggest fish was 5.5lb. Decent fish, but it just spawned out. would have been about 7 lbs if I caught it a week earlier!
  19. Better stock up on reel grease........cause were being bent over yet again!
  20. 9.6 lb Largemouth!
  21. Yes, tubing works pretty good. I've done it to quite a few. The other (easier) solution is to wrap the line around the "eye" of the spinnerbait 3 - 4 times, then tie your knot. (so your line is wrapped around the wire 3-4 times)
  22. Scam......
  23. Wow, very nice pickup! I'm looking to get a light-wight canoe as well for the summer. You selling your "old" one? lol
