  1. you can only access that lake by 1 road...there's two launches I believe. $5 to launch...at least it was when I was there.
  2. Haha, yes I noticed that, hence why I zoomed out a bit for the view! Didnt want to confuse anyone!
  3. HIGHLY discourage a person new to the lake to use this....WAY too risky. Take the extra 2 mins, and go to the bouys on tick island.
  4. Any links/contact info for Triple S or DFS?
  5. Here is where they are. The red line is the tracks...the blue are the ONLY safe places to cross (between the markers)
  6. They are about half way up the lake, extending from Tic island west to the Indian reserve (on the other side of the lake). If you're renting a boat from Bewdley, you dont have to worry about them, because I doubt your going to make a 2 hour run up the lake in a rental boat.
  7. Woah, thanks very much!
  8. Sweet, thanks.
  9. Thanks, I'll look them up.
  10. Oh, ok then...... judging by your question its asking for all the Kawartha lakes... You're fine on any of the Tri-lakes, to be honest. They all have pretty much the same make up, and fish.
  11. What's the ramp like there?
  12. Hey everyone, Just wondering if anyone knows the contact info for tackle distributors for fishing tackle? My friend just bought a marina, and is looking to stock some fishing gear as well. Any help is much appreciated. *Stoty
  13. haha, thanks. But really...this is my first time fishing Scugug, so I have no idea where the launches are, or where to go! I'll be winging it! Any help on launches would be greatly appreciated.
  14. Just confirmed...I'll be there Saturday and maybe even Sunday this weekend! Be sure to come say hi if you see two young dudes in a blue Ranger!
  15. My speedo goes up to 180 km/h...which it isnt intended to go that fast either... I like to live on the edge.... Riggers????? what are they There will be no such thing on my boat! lol No rods in the boat, it was my first ride in her. This weekend on the other hand.....
  16. HA! I see you haven't lost your sense of humor eh Lois!
  17. BJ Tackle - 905-797-2632
  18. Nice slab for sure...but, I highly doubt it was anywhere near 2 lbs. An 8" fish that weighs 2 lbs?
  19. It's not just the 4x4 that I'm thinking about....look how LOW my truck is as well..... I needed a tractor to pull my truck out last summer with a 16ft aluminum on the back.......might be a little embarassing to have a Ranger on the back this year.....
  20. I might be there Saturday as well. What's the best/nicest launch on the lake?
  21. She rides pretty good!! Lake O, was pretty rough, caught some air, but she took it all in stride! I opened it up about 80% inside the harbour though...got to about 42 mph. Top end will be around 50 mph ish. Xtreme tows it no problem, lots of power. I'm looking to unload it, and get something 4x4 though, in case of bad ramps. Anyone interested in the truck?! lol
  22. Since the weather was decent this past weekend, I decided to FINALLY get my new Ranger out for my first spin! Needless to say.....I'm in love!!! Here are some snapshots! Can't wait to be able to fish out of it the next two weekends!!
  23. If you have two people or a long rope...launching without a dock isn't a big deal.
  24. Grab a couple slip floats, and you're set! Put about a 3-5 ft bobber stop on your line, and drag your soft plastics under the float, and hang on! The fish should be up in the shallows, around 3-8ft of water. If you're limited to the shore, then I suggest going around dusk.
