  1. You're also S.O.L. if you trip and crack your head on the side of the tub while taking a bath, but we can't all walk around with bubble wrap taped to our bodies!! Wear one if you want to, don't if you don't want to, its a personal choice and should stay that way. Joey
  2. What a great report Mike. You daughter is a great fisherman that's for sure. Good for her Looks like the kids had a great time fishing and tubing, well except for your poor boy and the wasp incident, but I bet he felt better burning the nest. Great pictures, even the landscape musky Joey
  3. You've always been great Congrats!! Joey
  4. Nice report. I haven't been to Doe Lake in a long time. Great fishery, when they cooperate. Joey
  5. Here two video's I shot. The first one has crappy video shooting at first as one of the lightening's was so close it scared me, but I got my bearings and then there is another very close one at about 1:51 on the tape and I stand my ground. The second one has alot of lightening and shows the wind and rain. Cheers, Joey
  6. Great video and awesome fish. WOW Joey
  7. Great mish mash there Cliff and congrats to Sydney on her PB. Tell Sydney she did a great thing and I'm proud of her. Paul also donated all his hair to cancer when he got it lopped off Joey
  8. Wicked storm here in Richmond Hill. Finished now. I'm downloading videos right now. I'll post them later. Tons of lightening and thunder, high winds, torrential downpours. Good stuff My sister called from Bradford, says she got as close to a tornado as you can get. All her deck stuff gone, flipped, sent flying. Joey
  9. Couple of nice ones there Todd. Are they headed for the BBQ tonight Joey

  12. Well that sure looks like one helluva trip. Really great pics and I can see the blue tinge on the pickerel. Very cool. Joey
  13. Hey Chris, we bumped into your friend up there. He said you were very close to going. Wish you had of. He didn't quite have the same sense of humour that you do
  14. Well that's the nicest thing anybody's ever said......... sniff sniff
  15. That's awesome Tony I read this story in the newpaper today and I am keeping my fingers crossed that he wins!! Joey
  16. It's a dream Tony, just a dream
  17. I'm not actually sure what kind of snake it is. I think its a water snake but could be wrong.
  18. Ya, that's funny we were even talking and fishing beside you and didn't know you were an OFC'r I think there were a few incidents of things being stolen before. I think one time all of Kevin's engines were taken from his boats on one night. Very unfortunate that there are people out there that would do something like that, but there are.
  19. Hey Glen, we were casting when Paul got that Pike, in a shallow, calm bay. The bugs were terrible. The only saving grace was the gale force winds that kept them at bay most of the time. The one night when we were pickerel fishing in a sheltered bay was bad tho. They came out as soon as dusk hit and there was no fishing after that. It was unbelievable. We raced back to the dock and sprinted to the cabin
  20. My friend just about got scammed by this same thing on Autotrader.ca. She read me the email and I told her I was skeptical and not to do it. She went so far as to get a quote for her insurance on the car and was ready to set up an ebay account. I strongly advised her not to. The woman said she was in BC. Same M.O. Husband left her for another woman, didn't need the car, yada yada. So I emailed the woman and got the same response, except this time she said she was from the Yukon. Thanks God my friend listened to me or she would have been out some serious cash. I alerted Auto Trader and the ad was gone the next day. Be careful out there people, there's lots of scammers with nothing better to do. Joey
  21. Just chillin
  22. Paul and I decided to spend the long weekend in a cabin up at Lakair. So much easier than tenting it and it was much more relaxing. We arrived Friday night about 10:30 p.m. and left Monday afternoon. The musky did not cooperate this trip, but the pike did of course. Only took a couple of pics of the pike, because as I've said before, they pretty much look the same I made a few new baits in the days before we left and felt confident they were going to be "the lure." Not even a musky sniff, but they didn't sniff any other baits either, so I didn't feel too bad. We stayed in cabin 11 for the first time, the one right at the launch. What a great cabin, with a great view, which included being able to see our boat the whole time. That meant we didn't have to take all our gear out every time. Saturday was quite pleasant, well compared to the rest of the weekend anyhow. No weather report I heard mentioned the wind and overcast/rainy weather that we were to experience from Saturday night on. If it wasn't rainy, it was damn windy. I suppose it beats melting in the hot sun all day, but swimming was definately out Caught a few pike Saturday and a few pickerel at night before the big wind blew in. That was the theme for the whole weekend, a few pike during the day, a few pickerel in the evening. Except for the 19 inch pickerel Paul pulled out of Muskrat while trolling a musky lure I didn't get a chance to take a pic of the pickerel. It was in the slot so back she went nice and fast. This was the biggest pike of the weekend. I tried to get a good shot of the osprey, but with a moving boat, its not that easy on full zoom. The talons on these birds are just amazing. Good old Digger seemed preoccupied with a rock cut at the dock. I finally had to inspect and found out what the fuss was all about. A few scenery and other shots. Some loons with their babies. The almost full moon didn't seem to help the musky/pickerel fishing much Cormorant problem, what cormorant problem And finally, the sunset/dusk shot, before the mosquito's came out in full force (in August ) It was a nice relaxing weekend and ended all too soon, as anyone who's been there knows. We certainly didn't want to leave. Cheers, Joey
  23. Wow Cliff, I'm so glad you are okay. Those pictures look like it was a heckuva storm. Be safe and let us know if you need any help. Joey
  24. That's pretty neat Terry. The camera is pretty clear, especially when it shows the anchor chain. Cool Joey
