  1. Artificial fear.
  2. I find them more thin skinned then some sports fans but if I'm going to roast them I try. Never tried them. Got a recipe? I cut the crop open to see what they've been eating but that's about it.
  3. Last year brother whacked one (with a 20 gauge) while we were at the launch on Lac Seul, another one flushed as he walked up to get his bird and he shot the third one who just stood there. I don't care where they come from, or how you get 'em, they taste good.
  4. Yep. Dinner on Wednesday and brunch on Saturday.
  5. Haven't seen a bunny yet.
  6. This is my first season hunting for southern birds. Before this week's birds I had flushed 6-7 without seeing them at all before they flew and only had a shot at one (I missed). It didn't help that on the days that I had to hunt I had to drop the kids at school/daycare so I wasn't on foot until 10:30-11 and it was hight teens and low twenties for temps. I remember having to shoo birds off the road up north so we could whack em. Colder temps now and things are opening up.
  7. Only 1 pellet each in the breasts so far. I just "candle" the meat to double check for pellets.
  8. I think zeroed in on the 28 when I missed out on a 20 you were selling this summer… But I could have my guys and guns mixed up.
  9. It is a Ithica. I bought it used (barely) from Epps this past summer. My dad's 20 gauge featherlight was the first gun I ever shot. That 28 is the only 28 I have ever shot but I am in love with it. I liked the idea of the bottom ejector so that it can be pretty much an ambidextrous gun (my brother is opposite eyed from me). Now that I've shot it though, I'm not sure I could bare with someone else shooting it.
  10. I got out a few times this year and after a few bird less days I hit one on each of my last two outings. A patch of tamaracks starting to turn. The photo doesn't do it justice of course.
  11. Sure as shootin' someone else will have a black titanium one just down stream and the envy will set in.
  12. You both stink.
  13. Pyzer is right up there with anybody when is comes to North American freshwater fishing knowledge.
  14. Blade on the truck would be faster in most cases, but you'd likely have it on your truck most of the time (since you can't push a blower I assume you can't hook-up a blade multible times ). Blade is less likely to break down (although that's debatable due to the chance of the truck breaking down). Just some thoughts, not the definitive answer.
  15. Your comprehension rivals your civility. We know how/why you started this and despite what has been attempted you've got exactly what you wanted.
  16. Lupal took a shot off his foot in practice today. Word was he was going for Xrays.
  17. The pseudo mods are almost as distasteful as the troll. The obvious troll, as well as some less obvious ones want this locked.
  18. Considering you have referred to Leafs fans as cockroaches etc. and tried poorly to tie a Toronto Stanley Cup Parade to the Gay Pride Parade you are as delusional about your civility as you are about hockey.
  19. Funny, I just saw a 30 for 30 doc about the Spirits of St Louis from ABA in the mid 70's. Pro sports in the 70's might have been more out of control then just about other era. On, and off, the courts, fields and rinks.
  20. 7-3 is a good start. Lots of hockey left this season.
  21. Some of us hate it when the linesmen do it to. Three tries to drop a neutral zone puck is ridiculous.
  22. The more "efficient" system was in regards to the efficiency that money left our pockets.
