  1. I'll just bet you will LOL
  2. Just remember Rich, your # 2 on the rocky point
  3. I'm gonna agree with Raf and let the fish have room to run a bit if required, specially for bigger fish. If you keep everything locked up solid something gonna let go and it could very well be the hooks ripping free from her mouth. Pretty helpless feeling when everything goes slack and that big girl is waving "bye bye"
  4. It's called a E ladder and my boat came with it already installed from the factory (Skeeter) and I honestly don't know where you could buy them although I'm sure you could find a dealer thru GOOGLE. It's a pretty slick deal though and very easy to deploy & use. https://www.google.ca/search?q=e+ladder+for+boats&biw=1069&bih=542&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0CDIQsARqFQoTCJXO_YW4isYCFQ0NkgodZHQA8g
  5. Seems like a lot of folks depend on the motor as a means of getting back into their boat but if it's not a legal option their could be plenty of tickets being issued if the police decide to enforce it.
  6. Can't help you with either of those lakes but find some good green weed close to deeper water and toss some big spinnerbaits or bucktails and you may stir something up. Orange & black is always a good color combo
  7. Hilarious story Fred and I'll be sure the one in my boat is in good shape for you in August
  8. Granted their not all that easy to use but their a heck of a lot better than no ladder at all.
  9. Just thinking about the boater that fell out of his boat on Lake O the other day and drowned. I've got a drop down ladder on the back of my boat that I could use to climb back in...hopefully...in the event I fall overboard. What's everybody else using ?? Just curious if everyone has thought about it because it could happen to any one of us on the next trip. Here's my ladder on the right side of the motor.
  10. Yeah, that could make sense.
  11. So someone actually witnessed him go overboard Steve ??
  12. I'm not an icefisherman but a group of us from this board went to Simcoe about 10 years ago and I absolutely couldn't believe the filth I saw. We parked at a marina...KonTiki maybe ??...and it was worse than any town dump. I think every person that parked there threw their garbage out the car window and the crap that was left on the ice was an absolute disgrace. I can honestly say that was the worst mess left by so-called outdoorsmen that I have ever had the displeasure of seeing.
  13. One of the best jerkbaits you'll find for a musky Roger and one of my favorites. I just sold a couple of them but still have a couple in reserve. Best of luck this weekend and hopefully you get one of those big St. Clair slimy critters.
  14. I took the boat over to Chemong earlier today just to go for a cruise and as usual, the garbage thrown around the Causeway by the shore fishermen is absolutely disgusting. Pretty pathetic the pigs we have to share this world with. So sad.
  15. Was pretty dark in my end of the Kawarthas awhile ago with some thunderboomers and a bit of rain but it's a lot brighter now. Still calling for severe storms today though with the potential of tornados.
  16. Sad ending to the story.
  17. Your 100% correct Dave. I bought a new Crestliner in '99 and as soon as the boat would hit about 30 MPH it would lean sharply to the left. I tried a few different things and nothing would help so I took it back to the dealer where they realized the hull was hooked and causing the problem. Almost looked as if the boat had been dropped and landed on something. Not a problem for me as they just gave me a new boat and re-rigged it but could be a real issue for someone else if they damaged it themselves.
  18. Those muskies have extremely sharp teeth and I wouldn't doubt for a minute that's what got him. My worst cut from a musky tooth was 8 stitches to my thumb.
  19. I don't wave to the critters but I sure do spend alot of time smiling these days LOL Your 160 acres sounds fantastic.
  20. First summer we were here the wife & I were sitting on the front porch one evening just enjoying life when these folks came down the road past the house. I knew then I'd made the right decision to get out of the city LOL
  21. The more, the merrier
  22. Cool picture for sure Rick and hopefully the wind is in the right direction to keep those fires away from you.
  23. No, but I'll rent you the loft above the garage if you'd like
  24. What you've got now sounds pretty nice Roger.
