  1. Three hours and that many quality fish; I'd of thought I died and gone to heaven!!!! I also can't add; 4 hours. LOL Dan.
  2. I enjoyed your vid very much; nice way to wake up on a Sunday morning, while sipping on a coffee and baileys . Can I ask? For the 17 minutes of edited vid, how long were you actually out there? No big deal just wondering? Dan.

    Bait Tank

Just an update on the bait tank. It worked great; lost no more then 20 or so minnows for the week. Got 20 scoops from John's Tackle box; in New Liskeard. I also have to say they were generous scoops; 30 plus dozen (Thanks John and crew). Fired up the genny, got the aerator and freeze running and off we went, to Elk Lake. At camp we plugged into the cottage and we were good. Fed them flaked goldfish food once a day. It didn't take them long to figure out what was being put into the tank; it was a mini feeding frenzy. As for the walleye fishing, the minnows easily doubled our catch rate; with many at the top end of the slot and a couple of above slot fish. There was always the 16" and down sized fish to be had for the frying pan and did we eat good. I know NO pictures it didn't happen. LOL But we all know what walleye and pike look like. The only picture I regret not getting, was when my brother fell off the dock; while trying to hold the pontoon boat. With him falling in; it answered my question about my spare inflatable life jacket. Yup it'll still inflate after 8 years; he bobbed up to the surface like a cork. LOL So from now on I'll have a spare rearm kit in the tackle box. Dan.
  5. Oh man am so jealous! Being self employed I'm working on the freedom 95 plan? LOL Congrats!!!! ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dan.
  6. If you want it, I could go and get it for you and hang on to it until you come to London? Dan.
  7. OK. This guy who owns Whites rental & repair here in London, is a Club Cadet dealer. The used deck he has is a 48". He says it'll fit under the 2135 tractor. According to him all of those years of MTD mowers (1994 - 1998, 200 series) were built on the same chaise. Deck size and engine is what made them the different models? Here's Jamie's # 519-438-6165. Call him if you're interested. He told me $200.00 for the complete unit. I'd still quiz him on the fit? I'm also going to be going up the 400 on Sunday morning and we could likely meet at the King City OnRoute? Dan.
  8. I may have found a deck; the guy I called has to confirm that's it a 38" Do you need just the deck or all the spindles? He's willing to disassemble and adjust the price accordingly. He hasn't quoted me a price; he wants to know how much of the deck you want. Dan.
  9. With two pivot points, it will be very difficult to back that rig up. Not impossible; but everything you've learned about backing up a trailer will be backwards. Dan
  10. I agree Lew. A very good read for sure. Thanks for talking the time to post. Dan.
  11. Here's another thought. Not sure if my crappy diagram will make any sense? But I think this design would likely hook up a lot easier and relieve some of the stress on the bar?
  12. Like you said there will be a lot of stress on the extension bar at the trucks receiver. I'm thinking if you were to put a joint in the bar; which will allow the bar to move up and down. That should take care of the possible bending of the bar at the receiver end. Dan.

    Bait Tank

I did email the Aylmer MNR office, with that same question. According to Melanie a CO at the office, who called me with a reply, rather then just email back. Said that it is OK to share a bait tank with other people's limits. As long as there are enough people there to claim their bait that's in the tank. I'm pushing 60 and about 30+ years ago I was charged for improperly packaged fish. I'm not going to break the law again and ruin another trip like that did. But thanks for asking. Art. Thanks for the info. Just checked and there's a product from "Topfin" that is supposed to help with bio waist in the water. Initially yes the tank will be crowded; but it won't take long for the minnow population to dwindle. Dan.
  14. Got the semi portable bait tank up and running (semi portable?), is that once filled with water it's not coming out of the truck; until drained. LOL Its been going now for a week (on my deck in direct sun), keeping the water temp right around 50° mark. Put some water conditioner in the tank, to neutralize the chlorine, that's in the city water. Bought a scoop of the small (sacrificial) minnows from the bait shop. Put them in the tank and so far after 36 hours, there's not one floater. They're all alive and very active and feeding on the goldfish flaked food. Heading up to Elk Lake next Sunday. The closes place to get minnows is in New Liskead; an hour + away from camp. Planning on buying 30 dozen, which will last our group for the week we're there. Just putting this out there; that after my trip; if anyone wants to borrow the tank; its there for the asking. Dan.
  15. You do know that BOAT is an acronym for Bust Out Another Thousand. Dan.
  16. Thanks Terry. Great site!!!! Any first hand drivers through the area? Dan.
  17. Before I ask my question; I just want to say that I hope everyone in the Temagami area, get through these fires with as little or no loss! Scary stuff!!!!! A group of us are going up to Elk Lake in a few days; we usually run strait up 11 to New Liskeard and then head west on 65 to Elk Lake. Has there been any road closures on Hwy 11 or 65, going up to and through Temagami and North of that? I don't want to put our group at risk or be in the way of response or fire fighting crews. Dan.
  18. Waist of more of our money. Unless a poacher has his name tattooed on his forehead; it's completely useless. Oh Look there was a poacher here; 10 hours ago? Dan.

    Golf Cart

That sounds feasible , if that's what it is and I'm good with it. Not looking to set any land speed records with this cart. Just wanted to know if this was "normal" for them to do this. Bought the cart for my wife that has two bad knees and waiting for surgery. She doesn't know that I've bought this cart yet and wanted to do my best to get it in proper working order for her. She loves to go visiting her friends around the park. With this cart she'll be able to do it again. My only other question is, how do I install a ``blow & go`` on the cart. LOL Thanks to the replies. Good people here. Dan.
  22. Hey everyone. Looking for some advice with this golf cart I just bought. It's a 1993 905 EZGO, 36 volt machine. Thing looks great and ran fine; when I took it for a test drive. The speed limit at the trailer park was 5mph and the park owner was standing there to remind me. I get the thing home and take it for a run down the street. Everything worked fine, until I pushed the last 1/4 inch of throttle. It lost power, while I had it to the floor; when I let up that 1/4 inch, the power comes back on. My question is, is that a full throttle governor (cutout) that's designed in and nothing to worry about, an out of adjustment throttle switch or the switch (potentiometer) that may have gone bad? Thanks for any input. Dan.
