  1. Cliff, it was a pleasure meeting you, john and stan.. stan (hearingfish) is a class guy for giving you the rod.. nice fish: Big Cliff in action end result
  2. i'll put my trash talking on hold until after tomorrow.. just remember that last day on the ice when you were outfished by a ginger kid..
  3. was gonna send ya a PM today Cliff to see if you were getting fired up yet.. guess the thread speaks for itself cant wait!
  4. maureen, do you feed your dogs raw meaty bones, etc? i've been looking to make the switch to a raw diet for a while, but the info is overwhelming.. mike
  5. rick, you might wanna look at feeding him BARF.. theres lots of reading material out there on it, but you know exactly what he's getting and you dont have to worry about companies changing their recipes on a whim.. that said, and i imagine it will happen here now that i've mentioned it, there's lots of debate on it.. think tiller vs. console, braid vs. mono, 2 stroke vs. 4 stroke lol.. we feed our bulldog Orijen 6 Fish.. they're a canadian company and it's a little pricier but if he's got some good allergies and if an extra $15-$20 / bag is going to keep him from scratching his ears and paws it's worth it.. here's the system that you use to score the food you're feeding (pinched from another site)
  6. nice fish dawg.. the bozo's stories had me crackin up..
  7. congrats to you and your wife! when i see new borns with full heads of hair, i get jelous
  8. thats been the cause of a couple meltdowns for me.. i've got an old one, and every once and a while it'll work in opposite mode too... ie take foot off pedal and it goes full speed, put foot on and it stops...
  9. looked frozen over when i went by this morning.. be careful
  10. hah.. i've got lots of dev. buddies that do both extremely well.. i just dont have a musical bone in my body..
  11. you can legally make copies of them for your own use.. as rick said earlier, you're levied on all your recordable media and recording devices.. that actually makes it legal to duplicate for personal use.. i'm pretty sure it was illegal to do back in the tape deck days.. the problem wasn't that big of a deal because people weren't digitally recording and mass distributing via the internet back then.. the book analogy doesnt work.. to make it work you'd have to think of it along the lines of photocopying each page and giving that to your friends.. the way i understand it you can give your old books away.. either way downloading copywrited material is wrong.. i dont go to the car dealership and just take a car because they're overpriced.. when my wife or someone asks me what software package to download in order to get music, i tell them iTunes.. you pay a buck a song (or whatever it is) and its yours, legal, and you dont have to worry about inadvertantly downloading something bad... and in my experience playing the guitar is considerably more difficult than writing a computer program..
  12. if you've got health benifits, go see an athletic therapist.. i went to a chiro for a trigger point in my neck/trap and i'll never ever go back to one.. i can recommend a really good one in mississauga if you want.. you can try to pm member svukavics here.. he's a kinesiologist, and helped me sort out shoulder problems in the past.. dont know how often he gets on though.. mike
  13. damn it roy, ruining my dreams!.. i'll err on the side of caution and leave the booze at camp..
  14. awesome info.. july wont get here quick enough for me.. is there truth to being able to drink on the boat out there?
  15. i think Lac Beauchene is just south of lake kipawa... nice tomcat.. i think we're going to be targetting mainly walleyes and pike... any idea on what patterns typically produce? how bout live bait? can you use live shinners up there? mike
  16. Hey Tom, we're headin up to Alwaki Lodge in July.. i've been checking out http://www.kipawa.net seems to be lots of area specific info there... mike
  17. ya, we've been up to sandybay a couple times and always done well with eater walleyes.. lots of slots too that went back to be caught again..
  18. wow!.. that right there, is the gods honest truth.. i've thought about it more than a few times
  19. i'm not a mechanic, nor do i know a heck of a lot about motors, just can speak from experience.. i went from a yammy 25hp 2-stroke to the f20 late last year.. i noticed a big difference in fuel consumption, but the 25 was fairly old, and something was buggered with it (hence it finally blowing up).. the f20 was brutal at first.. finally got the proper pitch prop and its golden now.. the only thing i've noticed is if i get a big 2nd guy in the boat it takes a while to plane out (it wont plane with 3 of us) whereas with the 25, i'd get it up on a plane fairly quickly (still wouldnt plane with 3 of us).. i'm not going to enter it in any races, but it gets me from spot to spot just fine.. its quiet, super easy to maintain (if i can winterize it, it's gotta be easy because me = dumb).. mike
  20. we've fished Arran and Chesley.. there were guys catching on Arran, unfortunately it wasnt us.. mike
  21. congrats to you and your wife
  22. Lew, i add it to everytank on my yammy 4 stroke as well... i dont go through gas as fast as you though, but i'll be watching the thread 'cause someone will have a definate answer.. mike
