  1. Was on Rice tonight for a few hours after work with a buddy. We caught 8 walleye - 7 of them were in the slot. We also caught two crappie and 3 OOS largemouth. All fish were caught on bucktail jigs.
  2. I agree with ah_long - you have to check out the Humminbird 587ci HD with down imaging. It's $445 at Lebaron - awesome price for a combo unit with so many features!
  3. I tried that on a curado and the edges of the drilled holes were so sharp it cut 10lb power pro. At first I thought the line had a weak spot, but I tried it a second time with the same result. I used a couple wraps of mono.
  4. Have you considered the Canon Powershot SX280? It's compact, takes great photos and video, and has a 20X optical zoom. I have the previous version of this camera and love it! The 20X optical zoom is an awesome feature to have in such a compact camera (mine has a 14X zoom). It's pretty durable as well. Mine fell out of my pocket and sat on my lawn overnight in a huge rain storm. It was in a neoprene case, but was visibly wet when I found it. It still works perfectly fine! It regularly sells for $379, but is currently on sale for $349.
  5. Hi everyone, I'm looking at a new aluminum boat that will have a 4 stroke merc 115hp outboard on it. Just wondering if I should purchase a transom saver/motor support for trailering it? I plan to keep it at a marina for the season, so I likely won't be trailering that often, and when I do, it won't be a long distance. Any thoughts or advice?
  6. Awesome report! Thanks for sharing.
  7. Great tips folks! Might be an opportunity to pick up a few brownie points when shopping with your wife - imagine her surprise when you throw some cleaning supplies into the shopping cart!
  8. Good luck! Let us know how you do!
  9. I had a similar issue with my boat. I ended up drilling out the problem rivets and replacing them with closed-end rivets. Before setting the rivet in the hole, I coated it in marine grade silicon. Once all the problem rivets were replaced, I sealed all the rivets and seams with Gluvit - it's expensive stuff, but it works! I've had the boat in the water for two seasons and it hasn't leaked at all.
  10. Those are some nice slabs! Way to go!
  11. Awesome pics! Thanks for sharing. I like the crater shot!
  12. I have three of them, including one 4 piece pack rod and love them! Can't go wrong, especially at that price!
