Hey, just realized how lucky we are, striped bass fishing out here is mostly bait fishing, and so far I have yet to find more than 1 bait store, and that one doesn't even sell worms!
Ya, I think I've confused those with smelt before, I've caught them while flounder fishing, they are amazing if you throw them into a frying pan with butter whole, eat them and enjoy the crunchyness of the bones!
Besides making great products I recently experienced their great customer service. Some of you may remember a little while ago I was asking about finding a replacement section to my fly rod. Well I emailed them, found that it could be done, price etc... It completely slipped my mind until last Sunday I remembered that I still didn't have a rod! So monday I called TFO and asked them to ship a new piece right away, then I just had to hope, well this morning as soon as I woke up the FedEx truck pulls up and brings the new piece to the door! just wanted to share the good service.
Alright, I'm still jealous that you can do that so easily an hour from your house, but starting tomorrow I'll be able to dine on freshly caught striped bass, flounder, pickeral, perch and yes of course SPECKS!!
Ya, my grandfather is like that too, earlier this year he had heart surgery and the next day he went out to shovel a couple feet of snow off the driveway. They're great people; and slightly insane. Try to spend as much time with him as possible, you're a good person.
