What a beauty. If your going to break a skunk that's one hell of a nice way to do it. Congrats
-
Nice job guys and those 'action' shots are the end are really great. Congrats
-
Very cool Clive. You've got this Dad thing down pat.
-
Nice stuff Garry, glad to see you stayed in the boat
-
Congrats Mike, enjoy the summer. Victor - a few years from now you'll appreciate those lost co-op summers, school meant diddly it was the co-op placements that made U Waterloo worth going to (now summer terms on campus - those were a load of unprintable here fun).

Can't believe I haven't been to the islands yet this year (stupid lousy spring). Well done on getting out of the obvious spots with the waders and congrats on the deskunkifcation! (that's odd - the spell checker doesn't like deskunkification )

Nice stuff guys. You sure have mastered the Kawartha 'eyes. Almost didn't recognize either of you with shirts on

Feel free to PM me (then I can pick your brains for where in Dryden your fishing - might have to extend my next trip to Thunder Bay hehe) All I did was copy the 'direct link' url (actually just clicked it as it copies for you) and then hit the insert link image (beside the underline u) and pasted in the text from the photobucket page, ends up looking like this: Bass Video If you want to get really fancy though do this: 1. Look below for 'Post Options' and set it to 'HTML On - Auto Linebreak Mode' 2. Copy the 'HTML Code' text from the video page on PhotoBucket 3. Paste it into your post like this <embed width="448" height="361" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" src="http://i263.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=http://vid263.photobucket.com/albums/ii158/vishuscirquel/MVI_1133.flv"> And you get this: <embed width="448" height="361" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" src="http://i263.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=http://vid263.photobucket.com/albums/ii158/vishuscirquel/MVI_1133.flv"> Some days I wonder how I get any work done at all

Great report as always Limey. Those are some beauty bass - ahh to be in a area with year round bass fishing - just rub it in why don't you : ). By the way, I don' t know if its just me but I can never get your videos to work. I went looking and the link you've got has some junk symbols in it. It should be http://s263.photobucket.com/albums/ii158/vishuscirquel/?action=view¤t=MVI_1133.flv but for some reason it shows up here as ending in view[junk symbols]t=MVI_1133.flv. I've tried the direct link here Bass Video Link And it seems to be fine, not sure what happened when you copied it but sure am glad I can view it now and get even more jealous

Great report Mike, I can just imagine how much fun that back lake bay was. Congratulations on the Anniversary as well. -
Congrats on a successful first trip Victor, I'm sure the big slimers will show themselves soon.
-
Welcome aboard Jeff, nice markings on the one on the left. I have quite the love hate relationship with scugog so I can't wait to hear more from you (so far this year I'll say hate is winning )
-
Nice stuff Cliff and glad to hear you got out of there in time. Love the reverse hold on the muskie
-
Great stuff guys, sure looks like you nailed 'em all day.
-
Time to jump on the old heritage bandwagon I think! Considering our fishing gang is all dutch and italians (and one asian - not sure how he snuck in ) should make for some good ribbing
-
Wonderful mix of fish there. Great way to spend time with the family for sure.
-
Beauties for sure. Congrats

Gorgeous pics but the video didn't work for me just sent me to the photobucket home page. -
Kind of an interesting thread. Us fishing folk sure come from all walks of life. Myself, I did the comp. sci thing at U Waterloo then spent some time at one of the big consumer software companies in Toronto writing code and thats where I learned the power of networking and that's my only advice to you - NEVER BURN BRIDGES EARLY IN YOUR CAREER. Thanks to contacts made there (and I'd hope my skillset and general likeability ) that was the last time I did an interview. I followed a manager down to silicon valley in the hey day to work for Netscape, that was quite the experience. After that I just can't do the corporate thing so I did helped found a startup up here that was one of the last IPOs before the bubble burst (learned a lot about investment diversification but not soon enough ) and am now doing another startup trying to figure out how to make a buck out of all these cell phones floating around. Trying to keep my hands in at the development level but being a startup its lot of management type stuff to but still - I do what I want to do and thats all that matters in the end.

Nice stuff Kemper, cool pics

Hehe figured your or Dan would. Not exactly a secret spot thought I thought about not posting the honey hole shot but figured I probably wouldn't offend the blury picture gang too much. Just print that picture, drive north from Toronto for 18 hours, hang a right, then 30 minutes later a left and another left a bit later and then turn left from the launch and start look for that tree and your set

Good topic. Just like you said its really nice being solo in that you can move when you want and fish when and how you want but then again with a partner you can cover lots of water and try 2 patterns at the same time and learn from each other. Of course it also depends on the partner. As someone who's really into trying new things I go nuts when one of my buddies just wants to sit on holes he's known for years and do the same things as before. Of course at the other end if somethings working and a partner wants to leave and you spend the next 6 hours not catching anything... From a zen point of view: solo in the outdoors is simply the most relaxing thing I know - nothing refuels me like a day on the water by myself and when solo I don't even care if I catch fish. With a partner its all about having fun - laughing at him for his puny fish or reaching for the camera to get that stupid grin on their faces when they get the giant or just learning from someone else - makes my day. So anyhow, both have their time and places I guess

Nice stuff Mike - I'll get up there one of these days.
-
Not that lucky Mike, we had two knifes so I got stuck with gut disposal duty - boy did the blackflies love me (not to mention one gigantic seagull hoping for some freebies)

With any luck PatrickG and I should be forging through the Grand in search of some fun
