  3. Good catch there, thats a neat looking fish the perch trout thing, is there even a such thing?
  4. I guess it would be worth to try it once, doubt i would ever try it but let us know how it goes.
  5. Id have to agree with everyone here, the crucial and the St Croix are excellent and a lifetime warranty. But if u have never had a loomis b4 i would for sure check them out.
  6. DanC thanx for that, flemming has a specific course for the forest fires i might check it out, seems a little more feasible.
  7. I hear what ur saying Easton it is a very sought after job, with what ive come up with itz going to take a little while for the schooling through Flemming college and then theres another training like what phat bassturd said as well so thats going to be a year and a half of just schooling nevermind the training part, so im willing to go to the extreme as far as the schooling part goes and the training part is preety straight forward (physical tests and such) so prolly be about a 2-2.5 yr endeavour just getting ready b4 the big test. So i mean im going to do all i can and am willing to go preety much anywhere from ontario to BC so i hope it all works out. And again cant thank you guys enough for the information.
  8. Easton thats a little discouraging thats for sure, but im still going to go for it cause if the firefighter thing doesnt happen always forrest fires fighters out west so id rather stay locally in south west to northern Ontario but cant be picky i guess Nippising it is def very physically demanding, and im in ok shape nothing a little esercise couldnt fix. but again im willing to tough it out and the testing in my opinion should come last after you get the theory and processes down, thanx again for the info so far.
  9. TJSA thanx for the info I hope they see the post. Im planning on going to the fire hall in a couple days but just wanted to know a little bit before i headed there, didnt want to be dumb founded and feel akward
  10. Basically looking for municipal training and schooling i know flemming has a firefighters course and a forest fire course as well. Other than that i know cpr is a must and already am updated on that and a couple chemical courses as well. So just looking where to go from there.
  11. I know this is a fishing site, but just bare with me,Well im just curious, im just tryin to get things organized in my life, and am curious about how to become a firefighter training and so forth. Ive looekd on the net and found some stuff but im just curious if anyone has any personal experience or any information that could help assist in this process. Thanx in Advance
  12. Marc u r completly right, never thought of that as a solution, it is very sad what may happen to such a beautiful fishery. And btw marc u ever think of running for Prime Minister or head of the mnr need more ppl with common sense and the brains u have to run this, i would be completly comfortable if i knew u were running the MNR.
  13. exactly i was fishing the Niagara river inland waters
  14. Clampet, bacon wrapped pike on the bbq is something outta this world, u have to get into some cold water pike (better tasting then warm water and the meat is a much better texture), make them kind in shape as hamburgers or London Broils and do that up sweetly u will not regret it I promise. Zib ill check in the morning what the name is, Denis shop in Fort Erie its called Fishin Niagara u has alot of them, ill snap a quick pic for you and pm it to. Nippising I hope we can get into some bigger ones if we hit up ur place in the summer those were just teasers . The day def didnt start out ideally i must say but ur right Gbaygiant couldnt have ended any better.
  15. thanx for the responses, was a great couple hours thats for sure. And yes Clampet i kept them and they will be seen next on my BBQ
  16. First of all started the day going to the dentist to get my mouth ripped apart then came hme and laid down for a bit, was a little sceptical to go out today clouds were rolling in a lil bit of thunder but no prob, i was just going out to chuck a couple Husky jerks. Stopped by Denis shop for a qucik chat and headed out to the spot. I arrived and to my avail no one was there and it was free of ice. The water was a lil cloudy at times but and and all was alright. broke out the new casting combo and tied a rip off of a lucky craft lure on and MAN was it the right choice, also a really nice older gentleman came and tied up luckily he had a net. So for the first 45 mins no action then the sun came out and it was nearing 4:00 then the pike turned on hit one lost 2 hit another one lost one hit 2 more thne lost maybe another 2 or 3 the action was HOT the older gentleman hit another 3 pike and missed 1 i think, the lure of choice was the rip off, husky jerks didnt produce anything only the rip offs did. ended up leaving around 6:00 as it was starting to get packed there, all and all very satisfied about how the day went. the largest one was 30 inches and the smallest was 25 inches. Biggest of the day Smaller one http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t43/Hellfish66/small.jpg and the 3 i kept all posing happily together. Sorry if it wasnt too exciting but itz better than nothing BTW prolly the best day of fishing ive had yet this year. Also the fish look a heck of alot smaller in the pics then they do in real life LOL, I guess keep in mind im 6'2 270lbs just for a lil comparison.
  17. PRIMUS SUCKS, yous 2 beat me too it . Itz all about crosby stills nash and young, and the grateful dead when ur on the water and the travelling willberries and Lynyrd Skynard.
  18. lol @ RAFF too funny.
  19. I think u should expect a lecture, seems to be the consensus here everyone claims they can have their own opinion and get ticked on it when they say their own opinion, thats classic for forums though. I mean i cant even shoot a damn bird nm a cougar like that, oh well good luck and have fun people.
  20. lol Crazyhook i dont think hes joking
  21. Just a question but can u eat a cougar?? I agree with most hunting is a great outdoors sport and such but to kill a cat like that and then just use it as a trophy, is not anything I would do or agree with. itz like saying cause polars bears are getting pushed south b/c of melting caps and glaciers so when they get into land it would be ok to kill them cause they are there now?? I dunno thats preety sad to see that though. Just my opinion though.
  22. Raf- Lemmy is a genious love Motorhead lucky man, most impressive so far i must say. I havent met too many ppl more musicians than any, Daney carey-Tool, Larry and les frpm Primus, Mudvayne several times partied on their bus, Neil and Geddy from rush, all time Fav SOULFLY MAx Cavalera i can die happy after meeting him. Met carlos Delgado and alot of other Jays in Dunedin Spring Training. Fergy Jenkins from the jays was my National coach for Baseball. I didnt meet him but Lennox Lewis trained at my gf's boxing club for when he fought for Canada in the olympics her grandfather was his coach and he still owes for dues and a airplane ticket 220.00 i believe the total is the debt is ont he wall at the club, alot of NHl stars like Corey cross and Arnott used to workout at the club.
  23. Walleye on erie usually start about the 2 mile buoy and go on into the states side, i say in the early spring u should be able to limit out close to 2-4 miles out, did last year a couple times.
  24. LOL @ GCD, sorry rick was preety darn funny
