On leafs lunch when they were discussing Nylanders contract one of the guys made a really good point. It’s all about inflation. So if the cap goes up 10-15% then the players want a 10-15% increase in their salary. So if Marner signed the same year as Seguin or Kucherov would he have signed for less? Probnaly. But would they sign for more if they were finishing there entry level deal in 2019? Also Probnaly. It’s all relative.

How do you know if the swivel is small enough to fit through the hole? (Thinking I may bring my rod into BP with me) also to the guys saying a 6ft leader, do you find it effects the hooksets with the stretch in the line at all?

I gotta look these up. They didn't teach either of these in college. Woof. Just looked these up online. I'm going to be practicing lots after my knee surgery so I don't screw em up. I'd hate to miss a step and lose a good fish because of it.

Hey everyone, I figured before I started fixing up my gear for ice season I would get some advice from everyone. I have always heard for Lakers to use braid and then add a fluro leader (i’ve Heard different lengths) to the end to ensure best hooksets without the fish seeing the line. The problem I have had is that when I add a 18 inch to 2 ft leader 1) I can’t get the snap swivel through the eyelets of the rod to hook the lure on to the eyelets when i’m Done for the day. 2) I can’t get the snap swivel through the eyelets when i’m Reeling up the fish meaning I usually have to either stand up or back away from the hole making landing the fish super hard. Have any of you had this dilemma? What did you do to solve this? Any gear recommended for smaller or narrower snap swivels? Thanks.

Is that a stickleback in the tube? Put one of those on and you’ll never have to replace it either.

I was watching the highlights from the Boston game (not to jynx the kid) does Marner ever remind me of Gilmour. If he gets a chance to set up, especially behind the opponents net, its gonna be a good scoring chance. The speed, the vision. Its incredible!

Was the play of the game. He didn't even slow down while grabbing the stick. Between that play and Tavares first goal, dear god is Marner ever good.

Agreed with the guys who mentioned how horrible the playoff structure is now. I think it is the worst format it has ever been. I was a fan of 1 vs 8. I'd be an even bigger fan of 1 vs 16. I've heard a lot of the experts saying doing 1 vs 16 the problem is the potential travel time. If you have Boston vs San Jose in the first round, the travel really isn't fair. To that I would recommend they change the playoff format as well from the current 2 home, 2 road, 1 home, 1 road, 1 home to 2 road, 3 home, 1 road, 1 home. I always hated how 'home ice' meant you have to win both at home to open up or you lose the advantage. With my format (I think they do this for baseball) you win 1 of the first 2 on the road and you have home ice advantage, then you get 3 at home with a potential to close out at home. Takes the pressure off of the top seed.

Very cool David. I’m glad you had the opportunity to represent Canada. For me I agree with peacock bass fishing as well as sturgeon on the Fraiser. Also I want to catch a trout on the fly. Some type of bill fish (marlin preferably) A 20+ pound laker through the ice and a 20+ pound northern pike I’ve been pretty lucky myself. 5 years ago I was able to go arctic greyling fishing when I spent a year in Alberta and I actually landed one. Never thought that would happen.
