  1. The one your going to is the one near Kinmount. S.
  2. definitly not muskoka area!! I'd drive hours out of my way to stay away from the riff raff in that area!! My place is halfway between hali and bancroft, on a small lake with lakers and bass. There are so many lakes within a half hour drive, I have a hard time deciding where I want to fish!! After 20 years in the area, there are still sooooooooo many lakes I want to fish!!! S.
  3. I'll be there, but not camping. I'm only 5mins from the track!! S.
  4. There are some TM's that will run on either, but I don't think the MK is one of them. I could be wrong though. As for your boat Pete, I have a 55PD on mine, and although it works pretty good, I want more power. I'd like a 70lb 24volt. Mine will troll my boat to 2mph on a calm day, but if its windy at all, I have a hard time keeping it going 1.5mph into the wind. I usually have to motor up wind, and troll back with the wind. Its fine for positioning the boat, but if you want to troll at all with it, go bigger than 55lbs. P.S I also have a 16ft deep and wide tiller with 40hp. S.
  5. If you take the broken ones in to rapala, they will replace them over the counter. S.
  6. WTG Mike. If you spent a day with someonen who fishes eyes a lot, you would learn a few tricks of the trade. Your doing alright though, congrats on the PB!! S.
  7. You could buy a used 14fter with motor and trailer, for the same price as a new 8HP. Just sayin......a buddy of mine just got a 14ft with an 18hp for $750. Works great too!! S.
  8. Yep, keep the gas motor, and get it running good. It won't cost much to fix it, and it should run like a top!! I'd rather have a gas trolling motor than electric. I hate screwing with batteries all the time. It gets to be a PITA!! S.
  9. I'm not sure whats up with your gas motor, but I'd put out the dollars and get it running better. On a set up like that, I'd rather have gas than battery. Those little 2 strokes run forever. I bet for the price of an electric motor/battery/charger, you could have your gas motor running like a top!! S.
  10. Atta boy Eric!! That area is worth spending sometime in!! S.
  11. Yup, what fish finder said. Just hold the enter button down. It will ask you if its OK to save the WP, but before you click OK, cursor up to the coordinates for the spot your in, and change them to the spot you want. Easy, sleasy. S.
  12. The best addvice I can offer about Sandy lake, is to fish Chemong right next door. Sandy is great for swimming though, and has a very nice beach!! S.
  13. Pretty decent show in this neck of the woods. Watched it from the water for about an hour, then the ride home. S.
  14. Frig, just go fish. Don't keep over your limit, and don't worry about the small stuff. Some of you guys are reading way too deep into the regs. Christ, how often do you actually catch a limit, let alone keeping one?? \ Get over it and go fishing!!! S.
  15. OK, I lied. I had to drive 20 mins one way to Shimano in PTBO, plus my time.
  16. I think y'all are scared of bears I clean them at camp, and toss them in the lake. Be sure to pop the air bladder first. S.
  17. Mid october is prime hunting season. Forget about fishing, and gather some red meat S.
  18. I have two of the same rod, and never broke either. I have, however, broken a couple ultralight, and med/light clarus rods. All replaced under warranty, free of charge. S.
  19. There's no cottage on west grape either...hahaha!! S.
  20. Nice work Pete! I've also never caught a rice lake musky, and I fish it a lot too!! I've also never really targetted them in there seriously. I know they're in there though, I've seen them steal walleye right off my line!! S.
  21. I've been down there, and the fishing is pretty good if you time it right. I have a buddy at work who is always bugging me to go down there, strictly to fish. I might just take him up on it this spring. That's a great time to do it. He's hauled in some nice tarpon from shore, as well as many other types of fish.......all within biking distance from the resorts. Its cheaper to go there, than either coast of canada!!~! S.
  22. Yep, if everyone was as good as the crew at BJ's, the world would be a better place. I go out of my way all the time to get stuff from them. They've helped me out many, many times. S.
  23. I can't fit two on my trailer like that. If you do put one on there backwards, watch the windshield. Take it off, or it will be gone. S.
  24. Nice to see you out Eric. If you ever want to get out around here, get in touch. I'd be happy to get you on the water. S.
  25. Heres a few of Wyatt. He was adopted by me last fall, from fellow OFC'er Harrison. He's been awesome, and loves getting out for a boat ride. At first I had a hard time keeping him IN the boat, but after a bunch of boat rides, and a few fishing trips, he's right at home out there now. Of course there is the odd time he gets a little too excited and launches off the bow LOL. He can't resist water.......even if its just a puddle in the driveway!! Catch of the day! I swear, he's watching my rod for a hit. S.
