  1. bluesky1713 Thanks for your reply.
  2. Hello folks.I have a Mariner o/b with a badly cracked cowling.I am not sure what it is made of but appears to be some type of structural foam...don't think it's fiberglass.I have searched around for a replacement but have had no luck.Anyone here ever try their hand at repairing something like this.Epoxy,fiberglass...I'd like an idea as to what would be compatible before I try something and it ruins it further or makes any other method impossible to apply.Any opinions or experiences would be great to hear. Thanks.
  3. Sounds like a hole or crack in the fuel pump diaphram....Had an identical issue with a rototiller a few years back.Diaphram won't keep up to the motor at any speed above idle, but priming bypasses the diaphram.Good luck.
  4. Looking at a home that needs a downstairs bathroom and is on a septic tank.Beyond the obvious(toilet shower costs) what are the requirments and costs of sinking in a tank and pump to move the goods 25' to the tank. This would be done from a room that has the collector and is the outside wall facing the tank.It is the best case scenario for location but I don't know the ramifications of cutting in a tank and adding a pump.Any advice would be greatly appreciated as our house is basically sold and the next one should happen quick.
  5. Prayers and all the best for a quick recovery......good luck.
  6. I'd say he got lucky. No insult here,I'd have tapped out when the ring girl came out but the other fighter looked to be carrying the fight.Toughest sport ever......gotta gives those guys plenty of credit.
  7. I'm looking at a new 30hp tiller Merc 2 stroke.I haven't bought a new motor ever.Is this a solid motor,it's a fair price,under $3k.Any opinions or experiences more than welcome.
  8. Yes Lunker777.....she is easy on the eyes.Looks like you had a good time, congrats.
  9. Stay away from Kipawa until early June.Six of us went to a boat-in around May 24 4 years ago.Beautiful Lake but the fish (except Lakers) were still locked down. Some may disagree but don't go too soon.Ice out I believe that year,2004,was about May 15 and we had to work hard for a fish dinner.Give it a week or so into June and I would bet you will have a riot.
  10. Be cautious.I had a 15' steel and it was a great boat......but you needed a 25 or better to push it and don't even think of rowing it.Go for an aluminum if you are traillering, fishing etc.Go for a steel if you are moving equipment, building docks or running over beaver dams.
  11. Thanks so much for the experienced advice folks....I'm going ahead with the fried turkey and compensating with 4lbs of fresh moose meatball appetizers, just in case.
  12. O.K. I've got a deep fryer and want to do a turkey for Thanksgiving.Besides the usual measure the oil volume first..ensure the bird is dry etc.,do I have to inject the bird with a marinate or not?
  13. So sorry to be reading this post.As a fellow Blue Water Angler....my sincere condolences.
  14. I am looking at a John Deere (Bombardier made) atv.I also know squat about atv's in general. Can anyone give me advice on these.I am looking at a 3 yr old model.
  15. Oh yeah.We had one out for a test drive and it was a beauty. The salesman even said the Chev in a 4x4 would get much better mileage than the equivalent Tundra but the Tundra was so much better built.Toyota would be a definite option but as yet....any used Tacoma has 75k or more on it.It seems Toyota drivers are frequent drivers.
  16. What other suggestions have you folks got?I am obviously looking for an economy truck.Any ideas and other experiences are more than appreciated.I currently have a 91 Dakota on it's last legs......I will be getting something 2005 or newer.
  17. Looking for opinions on the Ford Ranger.Looking for a newer truck and there are a few of these available.Any insights would be appreciated folks.
  18. Sounds exactly like a "glow ignitor".It's located behind the access panel on the bottom front of your machine.I found the original lasted 9 years and the replacements last about 2 years.
  19. My Cobra 2-ways are good for (real experience) about 4km in the northern moose bush....10km on the highway getting there and 12 km on any open lake.
  20. Best wishes for your "tough-as-nails" daughter.

  22. That explanation makes sense....Thanks and MERRY CHRISTMAS!
  23. Just a question people. When I recieve p.m's , they appear in my inbox......when I send them they never appear in my sent items. Is there any trick to this?I am trying to deal with a fellow member in the classifieds and not sure if I am getting through.
